I would suggest listening to your heart on this after all its your story, it doesn't have to follow the Inuyash anime..I know that he chooses Kikiyo even though he belongs with Kagome....But I know that she loves him and that someday he will come for her.....Even if its just a dream or who knows maybe she will like Hojo isn't that his name? He kinda reminds me of Miroku. But in any case she will be happy and so will he. Maybe I heard that there were two movies in Japan..maybe I am wrong. But I would think of this story as something you would like to see happen between them. Maybe he also is reborn in her time and this is him and they find each other again.
Think of it like that okay.
