My friend had told me that the fluffy thing was is father's fur as well, so I guess that's what I'm sticking to. By the way, I love your theories! Although I'm not sure ferrets get that big...

Autully what that fluffy thing really is, is his mothers pelt. My firend looks into these things and came up with idea and it makes a lot of sence. In the second ending you see Sheehoumaru looking up at the monster that killed hs father and he's visiting the place whe he supposedly died. Also you see him pet and lean into the fluffy thing. He has already shown he's family oriented by visiting his father "grave" and every one believes that he and his mother were very close and that's why he became so cold hearted. So why not carry around her pelt as remembrance and the sence that she's always with him?

Hahahah! It's always amusing to wonder what that is... Actually, I once found a site dedicated to Sesshoumaru's "fluff" as most people call it. If you want me to spoil it for you, it's Sesshoumaru's tail. Rumiko Takahashi confirmed it, but didn't get too much into the details. The only other thing she said was that she thought it looked good when it was big... or at least I think that's what she said... I dunno . . . the source of this info was from www.sesshoumaru.com. Still, I think that this was very entertaining. Also, if you continue to write this, I have some suggestions. Other hypotheses are: 1 The fluffy thing is a gift from one of Sesshoumaru's parents. I always thought that it was a bizarre one, but...yeah... 2 It's shedding form his full demon form. I never really believed that since it never fell off the way all dogs shed their fur. 3 The strangest of them all...a buildup of naval lint! Definately the most...original, but anyway, it's also very unrealistic...naval lint is not wrapped around one's shoulder! Yeesh!
