"Tanbo" Reviews/Comments [ 3 ] | Title: BRILLANT STROY Reviewed By: alexus-chan [MediaMiner Member] On: July 09, 2007 13:45 CDT Rating(s):Style of Writing: 8 of 10 Spelling & Grammar: 9 of 10 Originality/Creativity: 9 of 10 Enjoyment Factor: 9 of 10 Overall Rating: 9 of 10 Comment/Review: BRILLANT STORY, where you blanced social improvement with martial arts improvement. char development is very good, and good reasons behind genma getting a clue and being proud of his 'son'. ranma's development is inkeeping with his core personality (so good going there) and it is true that no one really knows how fast he can pick techinques up epcs without lots of people in the way trying to 'help' after all ranma does beat his father (and no matter how we feel about him he is a good martial artist) at the age of 15ish maybe even earlier than that, reason behind that being the speed at which ranma knocks genma down in the spring (in manga/anime think it was within 4 passes). nice attempt at keeping ranma non-invulurable, with kun lon, cursed ryoga, and herb even if he does beat them (execpt kun lon) ranma is pushed to his limits doing so. of course at this point he's almost ready to face saffon but you can easily increase saffon abilty by having saffon informed of ranma thus not underestiming him or competeing his assonion, of course there needs to be a reason for the fight and something to replace the nerima crew, even if they mainly got in the way.

I'd really love to see more, although considering how strong the main protagonist is at the end of chapter 2 there might be a few problems. The writing and style could use a little touch up but the overall effect made up for it.
Try to see if you can change perspective without having to announce it. |
