I have read countless fanfics to satisfy my hunger for more stories of the anime(s) that I love, and I can tell you truly that you are the best author I have come across. You have moved me to actually write my very first review and hopefully encourage you to write more of this wonderful story. And possibly many more!! To make a reader become so involved with the lives' of your characters that they become almost flesh and bone is a wonderful talent and I envy that. I'm such a bookworm and I've read a variety of writing styles, but the one consistency in those styles is that they have the ability to wring out such raw emotion in the reader. To laugh, cry, be terrified for the person in the story, feel joy for them, and countless other feelings too numerous to list. You are giving a great gift to the many rabid fans out there and it is such a great relief to find an author who weaves such intelligence and clarity in a story. Not to mention being actually able to spell. Believe me, finding a fairly competent story is rare, and yours is even better than finding gold. I really adored the mention of Highlander in your story. I had to read it several times to believe my eyes, and then I couldn't stop laughing; especially when Mara started singing Queen songs. Highlander is another of my obsessions and it was a real delicous feeling to read about Sano being taught the art of killing an immortal by Ramirez. I can't help laughing out loud whenever I think of it. I truly hope you continue writing many more fics because there are so many bad ones out there!! I'd love to write one myself, but the fanfic world doesn't need another stupendously horrible story which is why it's important for you to continue with yours. I can't begin to thank you for the wonderful job you're doing!!!

I love your story so much. Believe me when I say that it is like nothing I have ever read before, and I appreciate that you'd be willing to share such a fine piece of literature with people you barely know. ^_~ I can't wait to read more!

I'm rare to review, I think this may be my 3rd in a year.... But this fic has forced me into it. I have to say this fic is fantastic. You've created an utterly believeable, non-Mary Sue OC, the characterizations are dead on, and the whole thing is just so compelling it's damn near literarly heroine; addicting after just one hit. Great story! I've read all the chapters, even the beginning part to see what I skipped over to answer all my pondering questions.. Very excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation.. especially the way the thoughts are expressed and the wonderful descriptions you use in your writing.. I'll be waiting patiently (well trying to as I finish my Sano x Megumi fanfic..) for your next chapter to arrive! Why bother with all of the other ratings when this story is so damn good! I laughed, I cried, and all in the very first chapter! You've really outdone yourself with this story, its amazing to say the least. I hope to see it updated soon, I'd love to try to give you ideas. But right now I'm just kindof in shock. Great story, wonderful plot, totally love Mara and waiting to find out what happens next.

Wai~ With just reading one of your chapters (Chapter 3: The Return of Roosterhead), I can tell that your stories are excellent (and I enjoyed the 3rd chapter most because Sanosuke was in it)! He's my favorite character in the RK series as well (even if I hadn't even seen all the episodes)! The first time I looked at him I fell in love with him! Anyway, hope to see more fanfictions made by you in the future! You're a really good writer; I couldn't even catch some of descriptive words you put (I need to work on my vocabulary)! Don't ever doubt about whether or not people read your fics, or anyone else's, for that matter. The most of us are just stupid unresponsive idiots who are too lazy to leave a comment to say that we enjoyed what we read (I include myself in that). there is a we instead of were and a place where weren't is written twice... only grammer erros I saw... (which are typing errors really)
This chapter was really painful... heart rending and very very well written. Man, Mara's husband infuriated me... wow, so so angry... Stupid (hmm I really want a string of cusswords here for description but I hate using them) people like him can't just die, oh no if they are dumb and get themselves killed they get other people hurt and killed two. I wasthinking when he showed up and started talking that I wish he would die, then he went and got everyone else hurt and killed and i felt guilty. sigh, I hate that. Instead I wish Mara had counter sued and taken all his money which would make the blonde leave him. In short I wish he had led a painfilled torturous existence... sigh...
You wanted ideas, well I would like to know more about Mara's life before this, and I would love to see Sano slowly helping her heal from that nasty relationship with Erik... I doubt that helps, but I thought I would put in my two cents worth. ^_^
Are you working on any original fics? It would be nice to one day walk into a book store and buy one of your books. You have a great talent and a vivid imagination. It would be lovely to see you doing your own story. I really like Mara's character. You could always redo this later with your own setting for her in the past. Replace the RK characters with your own. I loved it, and I cried in some moments. Very touching, exquisitely done. It's probably the best chapter you've done so far, beautiful, beautiful, words can't describe the feeling... Thanks for sharing.
