It's very good so far, but here's a little bit of constructive critisism to help you out. First if the horses aren't like major main characters in the story, then there's no real point in naming them. Sure describe them and then if their riders need to refer to them then use their names. It's all about flow and listening to "named this" and "named that" over and over again disrupts the flow.
