Very informative, Jeff. I think that Rumiko Takahashi should include that in an episode of Inuyasha sometime. Maybe take out some of the info on spilling his seed onto the ground and such. But anyway it was very informative and keep up the good work!

Wow! I really didn't know all that stuff about Japanese cluture and stuff. I really need to do some research here! But, although if you look at it realistically, this probably would be the reason Miroku lies, steals, and is a pervert, I don't think Rumiko Takahashi took this info into consideration when she made Miroku to be a lecherous monk. Anyway, I really enjoyed this story, it waqs very interesting! |

I gave ya a ten for the simple reason that it was very informative. There are SO MANY things I don't know about the japanese culture as well as buddism (sorry if i mis-spelled it). And as I am working on a fic that will be based on Miroku I found this information to be very helpful. Although I still think Miroku is just a pervert and nothing else, its still good to see that there may be other reasons for his...um...certain activities. Would it be possible for you to give me so websites on the information you listed? I would very much like it.
