this is really a great story. especially since most romance stories have boundless love (y'know, room for relationship), but when you stick two people in a caste (sp?) system, it changes entirely. very interesting- I applaud you! but seriously, four months is a veeerry long time to not update.. we're all dying for a new chapter! please update soon! ... happy cows :)

Oh , I loved this movie !!
Raise the Red Lantern is Zhang Yimou 's masterpiece ! (I think...)
It's so beautiful it hurts ...And Gong Li is really great as Song Lian.
It's a wonderful adaptation of 'Wives and Concubines' by Su Tong.
Anyway , back to your fic :
Kikyo is perfect in Cao Cuifen !!
I loved your idea !!
Personally, I think that know you've settled things, you should let go of the movie plot, and let your own plot kick in ( 'coz like you said, the end is tooooo sad)... and start developing things (You know, like showing Kagome's feelings... well, you know, stuff... ^^)
Take your time !
'Coz you've got a very good idea, you should go further in the character psychology (I think ).
