It's a really scary story.. though it's great at the same time but the thought of having to kill someone makes me shiver..no offense but I don't really like scenes that involves killing.. |

I've never actually watched/read battle royale, but this fic wasn't too bad. To other people like Ryan MacDonald, I'm afraid I must heartily disagree. I'm really glad someone took the time to time to make an anime like battle royale. Battle royale is an anime based on symbolism. Just think of the competition in society, and you'll realize that it's just as brutal in your environment if not worse. People out to defeat their opponents no matter what the cost - this is the society we live in, folks. Despite the bloody details, I'm glad someone in Japan recognized this problem and made it public.

Obviously, you have only seen the movie, and even then... you didn't appear to get even the basic details of Battle Royale right.Now, now, before you go on saying something like "This is an alternate universe, I'll do what I want", it isn't. It is based both on CCS and Battle Royale. And although most of the CCS stuff was correct, the BR parts were all wrong.First off, what was with Kiriyama being in the fic? I actually found this fic a bit enjoyable, until Kiriyama magically appeared. I sat there and went "WTF"? But that's besides the point. The basic rules of the BR act involve oner class from one class from one school. The fact that Touya and Yutiko's classes were there irked me too. This story would have made sence and been more-or-less true to BR if not for those two things.

....this is the second fanfic i have read based on battle royale...the other one is named exáctly the same, but its a furuba aka fruits basket fanfic...i still think that it is very sad...i think you should read the other fanfiction ...but thats just my oppinion...this story was very sad and full of angst...though i did think at first it was sakura whom had won, but since she doesnt have a mother that didnt work out right...i think i need to read sumthing unangsty...*sigh*...

Although this story was well written, I find the concept of brutally killing your fellow classmates in a government sponsored game disgusting. Whoever thought up the anime that this story is based on should be ashamed of themselves. |
