Hmmm, disturbing, yes. I don't know if it's a compliment that I'm left wondering HOW I feel about this story. The imagery is quite powerful, and I'm sure there is a lot of symbolism that I missed. Creepy and angsty as well as poignant and sad. Probably a bunch of other layers to this that I can't think of right now. This is the stuff of literary analyses...I can picture dissecting something like this in high school English class! |
