Had an idle moment & reread this story--it's my favorite B/V fic just now, mostly bc the dialogue is so compelling, the humor is just right, and the romance is more insinuation and spice than PWP bump&grind! I'm wondering about how angsty the story needs to be in upcoming chapters--I loved it how in the beginning you wrote "suffice it to say" that V had been the "recipient" of previous sexual attention. I've seen the abuse by Frieza thing overdone (and sometimes overdone very well) but like the anime and mange, the stories that deal with V's past with insinuation and speculation keep the canonical DBZ tone better than those that dwell on gruesome flashbacks. I'm so looking fwd to the upcoming chapters and guessing that there will be some real angst like we haven't seen in this fic much yet--Bulma's dealing with Goku's death, the prospect of losing V, and V's coming to terms with his need for real companionship (that usually spells V confronting his past demons in other fics--just wondering how you're going to handle it!) I hope you can keep the light, perfect Bulma tone and keep V's dignity (I know it's fun to torture V--you've done it so well so far!) Can't wait! your fan. dc

Simply put, this is one of the few original fics left that aren't Alternate Universe. Keep up the good work.

I love reading this fanfic because it gives us an idea of how Bulma and Vegeta got together. (something that the show doesn't get into.) Anyway, LisaB doesn't deviate from Vegeta's character, which is great! I still love him anyway, despite that he can be a jerk. (sometimes he reminds me of my boyfriend) Anyway, LisaB, keep up the good work! :) mya~

I love the fact that had it not been for Vegeta dumping Bulma, Trunks wouldn't have been born! Thanks for great how-she-got-pg explanation. Very creative! And your V/B dialogue great as always. CAN'T WAIT to see how the story interweaves with the anime timeline... debbiechan

aaaaah! I love cannonical B/V's where the writing is so good and the tone is true to Toriyama! So many people worry about Vegeta being OOC, but imv, it's always Bulma who's too serious, the projection of all our heroine selves, too wracked with pain (and that wouldn't match Vegeta well, would it? They're both hotheads but he's got the market cornered on "little boy lost" doesn't he? :-) Your Bulma is PERFECT--funny and petulant and brilliant and utterly feminine. I love the whole story so far (and believe me, this is rare for me--a writer secretly addicted to B/V fics who mentally curses each and every one and nitpicks them to death!). The only chapter that didn't thrill me was the Vegeta in Space one you wrestled over, but it was well done--I just don't like other characters besides Toriyama's and maybe it took away from Vegeta not to be utterly alone in space. One burning question I'd wish you'd answer--HOW DID THEY GET PG? Were they even using protection or was Bulma that much of a ditz? I prefer your spicy innuemdo and very hot foreplay scenes to any of the rawest lemons I've read--but I must know! What about condoms? (my favorite condom episode is in Dark Angels From Bad To Worse fic where Vegeta eats the condom!) I take it from your fic Trunks wasn't planned--but wouldn't a smart female like Bulma have taken precautions??? anyway, BRAVA BRAVA, beautiful fic, thank you for satisfying my B/V obsession so grandly! Wow, this fic is great! Bulma and Vegeta are totally in character. I loved the moment where Vegeta says 'You foolish girl. What did you expect?' I thought How could he SAY that! he's such an asshole. But it makes you realize it's Vegeta and not some other guy. And I'm really curious what Vegeta will do now he found out Bulma lied about Trunks. Like I said before: Great fic. and please update soon!
