This one is really...wow. I like the little side comments Duo makes in the begining and the later chapters are really bittersweet. I love your descriptiveness. It makes all parts of the story so much more clearer when visualizing it. Your writing is amazing and I truly enjoy reading your work.

Comment/Review: Amazing!!! Great for the psy part and for the twisted kind of vulnerability you put into 1&2's inner-selves (yeah I think they look both vulnerable somehow) I just loved the whole Solo story & pov, here! You got me hooked since ch1 and I was too lazy to write a comment before, sorry :P

Reviewed By: Muffie On: March 13, 2004 15:06 CST Comment/Review: Beautifully written! Duo's voice was very powerful and real. I liked that the best. I also really liked the de-romanticized Heero. While I don't mind well written sap, the bad-romance novelizations do get a little wearing. A lot of people park a car with a manual transmission in neutral with the parking brake set because parking it in gear puts unnecessary wear on the transmission.

I'm glad you put a little bit of humor here and there, because you sure have the angst mastered! It was difficult to be angry at times when I suspect I should have been; Heero should not have shot Duo. The flashbacks of Duo and Solo were bittersweet. It's horrible to know that people really do live like that now. It broke my heart when young Duo was crying because of the pain in his stomach. Jeez kid, this is an exceptional fic! I hope you have plans to write more. BTW, I loved the McDonald's scene. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt; those people really exist!

Title: Ch 2 Reviewed By: MookieNH [MediaMiner Member] On: December 02, 2003 12:48 CST Comment/Review: A layer of poignancy in this one. I feel for Duo in his failed attempt to bond with Heero over a crappy breakfast. Once again, I enjoy his little mental analogies. By the way, I have actually left my car in Neutral before, although not on purpose. I've also turned off a car and left it in gear - which alarmed me the next morning when it didn't start! Oops! I would not have assumed the car to be in Neutral from a turned off position, actually, but that may be because my car had to be revved in neutral on occasion in traffic every time I hit a stoplight. Just to point out that it didn't seem very glaring that the vehicle was in neutral. If you hadn't footnoted it, I wouldn't have really noticed!

Title: Ch 1 Reviewed By: MookieNH [MediaMiner Member] On: December 02, 2003 12:31 CST Comment/Review: Oh, I love Duo's description of Heero's little grunts! And "Page me if Heero doesn't have a purpose" (I'm quoting badly, but I'm too lazy to go back and check it) - what a great line! The voice you've given Duo is funny, but not in an uproarious manner. It's a little bit dark, and a lot sarcastic, and I like it.

Comment/Review: Duo's POV is very realistic. I also like the flashback in Solo's POV.
