Well, first off, IY's sword is spelled "Tetsusaiga" in the anime and english manga, but it's actually supposed to be "Tessaiga" because there's a hard pause between Te and Saiga. When they romanized it, I guess they counted the "tsu" as part of the name instead of making it a hard pause like it's supposed to be. When you write in Japanese, hard pauses are dictated by a small "tsu" character. Otherwise, creative. And yes, it is "Kaede" and "KoUga"
