The story was captivating and hypnotic, surreal and gory without going over-board and yet not skimming the surface! It was brilliant! If you care, to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you. If I worte it I'd give you credit and if you wrote it I'd read and review. I'm not sure how I feel about the "ode to the characters" part in there, it seems kind of random, but I was trying to strike the feeling of loss in the readers hearts, no matter what character they were a fan of. How would our lives be different if none of us had ever heard of DragonBallZ? Maybe not much for some people, but sharing fanhood in it brought me to my best friend. --so, yeah, it would be a story of loss, especially for Vegeta, but even for the reader. If you like it, or even want to say 'screw you, that idea sucks' then e-mail me @ nsJenniferKane@netscape.com or CannibalisticOrange@moonman.com ---Keep writing, you do a lovely job! ---3oTan

It was a tiny thing, barely more than a weed, standing against the cold world. Alone, it made its last stand on a hopeless planet, sacrifice, like the warriors before it, reaching out to the sun. I'm sure it's dead now, but it was there for a brief space in time, marking history with blood, shining like a beacon, till all at once… The light went out

And there were so many others, Marron, with the sweetness of an angel and the fangs of a wolf. Or Trunks, who survived, and helped everyone with him. And the wisdom shared by Kamesen'nin, and the cool calmness of Piccolo, hiding a core of will and determination…yes, so many, especially him... There was a reason he was loved. To them he was hope. Son Gokuu only failed once, and the only person he couldn't help was himself, he failed to see it coming, he failed to survive, he died of a heart attack years before the disease was even heard of. They were gone…nobody to remember them but the night stars. Planets nearby barely noted the little thing was gone…they never knew about the Prince's pain, his last stand…how could they know? At the other end of the Universe, Earth was a barren rock land. The planet killed everything that touched it's surface, some say from the poison, others say that the planet itself did not want any other life to begin there. It hads lost so much…how could it ever heal? How could anyone ever laugh there? How could children live, where so many people had died? How could someone find love on it's tainted soil? But far west, past where west cities remains were still, covered by dust, past that and deep into what was once a forest, something grew there.

He died with honor and success, but there was no one to honor, or even remember him. ---ending idea, right after Vegeta explodes the planet: Nothing left…emptiness, like when you love someone and suddenly they are gone and you cry knowing they will not come back. Absence like a hole in your stomach, and a headache. Finally the Prince had his honor, his success, his strength, but there was no one left to honor him, or even to remember him. Lost to the worlds was the prince of all Saiyajins, who beat all odds and learned to love. Gone was the man who had stood his ground like a rock, in front of enemies he knew he stood no chance of defeating. Gone with him were the memories and stories of the Zetto senshi. Krillen, who above all had his integrity, and knew when the best time when to make people smile. He was never the strongest, or wisest, or greatest among the fighters, but you could count his value ten times over when he helped Gokuu in the fight with Vegeta. Bulma, the smartest woman or man ever to have lived among the stars, her wit and pure will to survive drove her to accomplish so much. If it had not been for her,

But it does make them remember their past…pain ensues… They finally decide to head for a barely known planet Vegeta heard of once where they can attempt to live in what peace they have left (they had been gathering a bad repetition, living off stolen goods and murder). Meanwhile the aliens who destroyed earth get a hold of their child and use it to make a quick kill poison for Vegeta. They pursue the pair to the new planet and find 18 is dead from the virus she was infected with. They new one they have is similair to the one that killed her only it kills within minutes. They battle with him but they are everywhere.A war between Vegeta and the cunning scientist race rages and all the forces are called in to take down the Saiyajin. Every war ship in their fleet eventually joins the battle, but they are not trained in hand to hand combat and are slowly dying off. As a last result, they bring his son into the picture, and Vegeta allows one moment of feeling that costs him his life, he attempts to save the boy, but is injected in the process. Vegeta carries off his son, willing to give up his pride and retreat to save the boy and give his future hope. But before he leaves, the boy dies. He is also infected.

It's interestng to me because usually Bra is Vegeta's sweet cute and innocent girl and Gohan is responsible/shy-ish. They were the perfect pair for what you were going for. And as for the style, it really worked well with your theme. You are one of my favorite author here! But I am angry because I wanted to review one of your other fics and the damn computer wouldn't let me! It signed me out every time I tried. But I have an idea for a sequel to "then there were two." It wont fit in one review, so I'll shove it into a couple... Basic Plot: After living alone on earth for two years, in a void of an existence, the planet is visited by another alien race. The unlikely pair learns that these people had the same job as Vegeta had in the past, only they did it disgracefully by designing viruses. (Then they sold the planet, and if the species that bought it had an immunity to the virus they would live and prosper, if not the aliens would sell it again). 18 and Vegeta kill them and take off in their ship. They live in space for a long time, heading for some unknown destination, still running from the feelings they can't escape. They stay by each other because they feel kindred (ness?) because of what happened to them, and somehow manage to parent a child. 18 tells Vegeta that they shot her up with something before she killed them (the aliens).
