I visited Mediaminer last night, looked to see if your story had been updated and sighed with disappointment. What a difference a day makes. Yes, it was a lovely surprise to see the new chapter and even lovelier to read it. You have laid the groundwork of the intimacy carefully, and I must confess I can barely wait to know what comes next or who.

Yea! They've kissed. But now what's poor D going to do, in love with a mortal, that his father knows about?

Oh. My. God. That has to be THE MOST beautiful kissing scene in a fanfiction I have ever read. (and believe me, I've read a lot!!) You did such a wonderful job!! It's not often that an author (professional or otherwise) can get the "awwww" reaction out of me. Or make me squeal. Or make he have that weirdo "squee" feeling in my tummy while reading a scene like that. Gah. You're brilliant. *hands you a piece of cake with whipped cream topping*

Oh, God, that was just so great. Leon is a detective after all, and the way you have him putting together the clues to find the truth and the inevitable conclusion he reaches...and the tender need within his kiss. I was already crying sentences before he did it, because I knew he would. And you didn't let me down...and neither did D and it was just so heart-felt and beautiful...that...I can die happy now, blubbering into my kleenex, but happy. Wonderful, wonderful chapter.

No surprise that the new pet was a pseudo-D for Leon. How will they deal with each other now? Please update soon!

This was very nice work. I think you've definitely hit your stride with the story and though I hate to suggest any pressure, I can hardly wait for your next update. I wondered if D would actually have suggested that Leon carry him. You have him doing it of course, but it struck me as a little coy maybe. It's not a false note by any means. It seems to me that when D said he was too weak to walk, that Leon would make the logical deduction and volunteer to carry D himself. I love the idea of gruff Leon volunteering tenderly without being asked so it was quite wonderful to see him take the initiative in climbing into bed and then dealing with his confused emotions. Lovely scene that. Thanks for a wonderful update.

Wow, very cool. I'll be definitely checking back for updates on this one. Seriously creepy last chapter there, nicely done with the build up of mood and still leaving off with the suspense at the end. Killer.

This chapter made good on the promise of the previous ones. Dark and moody, still it explained so much, but just I was thinking, aha! I was back in doubt and shadows again, wondering what further horror Count Dee's grandfather may have put in motion, for the Count's loss of consciousness is more than disquieting. Right now, in your story, the notion of true love seems almost a lost cause, but hope still burns within me, perennial sucker for it that I am. He loves you...but to whom was that shadow figure referring? Looking forward to your next.

Wow! What's going to happen? This doesn't bode well for D or Leon.

Hey just read this the other day and I love it. Please update! This is one of the few shounen-ai pairs that I like b/c they are meant to be shounen-ai. When people put 2 characters together that aren't meant to be shounen-ai it's just weird!

This was a very subtle chapter, full of creepy-crawly shreds and threads of dread. I liked it. It's like the mystery of watching a photo develop, the blurred details coming into focus only gradually. The deepening connection between D and Leon becomes more apparent.

Your pace is rather leisurely. I find myself wishing sometimes that things were moving along a little more rapidly or that there was a little more going on in terms of character and plot tension, but your style is graceful and evocative. Your story has very nice elements and I am enjoying reading it.

I see you're still feeling your way carefully with this one. Drink some tea, go for a walk, think, burn some joss sticks, let the mood of mystery overcome you, and let your imagination run wild. There's no lack of UST here. Surprising to see D so preoccupied. Don't go so long without updating, please. You have to think about your characters everyday...the care and feeding of them...Yes. Writing a story is just like caring for the pets in the shop...You don't want them drooping and languishing from neglect and inattention. Lavish a little care on this story and it will soon be eating out of your hand.

Well, this is all very interesting so far. You set a nice mood here. There's not an awful lot happening so far, but you have set the scene artfully enough and introduced your characters. I'm getting the distinct impression of a courtship dance here between D and Leon. Lead me on some more. Looking forward to your next update.
