This is an amazingly touching (and somewhat depressing) story, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Your style of writing is fitting with the tone of the work, not very complex but still enhancing the mood. It's one of those rare introspective pieces that examines a character in an innovative and thought-provoking manner. The only complaint I have is a small one, I found the syntax a bit imperfect and faulty at some points, confusing the meaning of the sentences. Besides that, this is a great story overall. Hopefully you write more of these, I would definitely read it.
