I've got a big problem with this fic. The 'punishment', though I hesitate to call it punishment since it didn't do anything harmful to the guilty. And that's exactly the problem with it. Even before Ranma was punished for Genma's actions, it was obvious that Genma didn't give one whit what happened as long as he didn't have to pay for it. Since it was obvious that Genma didn't care about it at all, what was the purpose in punishing Ranma, especially when the master knew the punishment would only remove memories that didn't affect Genma? Heck, in the end the 'punishment' would have been considered a good thing by Genma, even if he knew the truth about Ranma's friend (unless, of course, you've elected to remove the Saotome-Tendo union from your alternate universe). It just sits wrong that Ranma gets punished for something that's Genma's fault, and in a way that Genma would have sought out if he'd known about beforehand.
