So Gohan has managed to figure it out, and he feels bad. So what changed later that let him just abandon his brother to his mother? I like this story but I know it will make me cry.

It is good to see Gohan making an appearance, and an explanation of why he became so distant. He is working himself to death. Why isn't Videl helping out? Wont he let her? Goku being protective of Goten and feeling out Trunks intentions toward his son was sweet, then knowing the future just makes it sort of sad and impotent.

Okay, as a parent I wouldn't be thrilled my son got a box of sex toys at a birthday party, but I wouldn't have stripped his room of all his belongings either. Especially since the kid was embarrassed and not interested in the gift anyways. You make it so easy for me to completely hate Chichi. She doesn't die soon enough for me. The compassion and love between Goku and Goten is very touching. Makes Goten's 'loss' of his father later more painful.

I like how protective of Goten Trunks is, perhaps knowing wht is in the future makes this part so devastingly sweet.

Ah this chapter was so sweet yet I can see the foreshadowing of why Goten was so willing to accept what Trunks dished out, why it took twenty seven years for him to finally have come to the breaking point.
