If you're not going to use quotation marks, at least put another hiphin at the end of the dialogue. You should be using quotation marks, though. It's not that hard to do. If you're worried about typing faster, then why don't you put in the quotation marks after you write the chapter? I'm not commenting about the quality of your writing ablilty, only on the quality of your grammar.
