Comment/Review: Wow, this is a lovely story. I always felt a little sad about Yamcha, because he never really found love after Bulma. But I also had the feeling that he never loved her that much, that they were together just because they were used to. I mean, they did love each other, but in the "we've known each other all our lives" way, just like best friends would. It was obvious, indeed, that Yamcha was never comfortable with the idea of losing his girl to the terrible Saiyan. Besides that, if I remember well, their relationship was never steady and they didn't seem to get along. And it was never passionate, not the way it was with Vegeta. I guess they weren't meant to be together, but they always cared for each other. I think this story shows that well, in a cleaver and sweet way. Nice work!

There's a trend in most pro-Yamcha fics that show Bulma as an amost villainess. I'm glad that you did not that. It's touching the affect they still feel towards each other, even though Bulma doesn't love him the way Yamcha would like. And the soccer game was creative and different, too.

On: April 11, 2005 20:55 CDT Comment/Review: hey this is really amazing. im a big BV fan and i used to hate Yamcha so much for no frickin reason but u made him seem like a real man in this fic. its just so sad. i feel sorry for him. i mean he was still in love with bulma after so many years. sniff. and i like how vegeta was being possessive and i like all the things bulma sed, about her falling for the arrogant prince and everything. it was very realistic. so yah props to you!

Of course, I love the part when Vegeta is being possessive and caressing her hip ^_~. I like the part when both Yamcha and Bulma have tears welling in their eyes. Great job! {I like how Yamcha is so honest, showing how he has grown as a person, not wishing Vegeta had stayed dead on Namek anymore, but still admitting his selfish wishes too, very realistic.}

Come to Mama!!!!!!!!! *huggles Yamcha and cries* I really liked this story--I felt for Yamcha and Bulma was herself and I was proud of Vegeta for being possessive, and the whole little drama worked well. Clean narrative, nice glimpses of the other characters, and it all rang true--yeah, I've been at this party. And poor Yamcha--so easy to please. Such a stunning little honest revelation from Bulma. Bittersweet stuff. *sniff* I've always believed that Yamcha never really got over Bulma, never left the "playing field," never really grew up. Versace shoes--perfect detail!
