this was wonderful. it flowed well and your hakkai is exceptional. deep dark and with a slight hint of foreboding, and gojyo just loves him so...this fic actually has a tenpou/kenren feel to it. which i love. because we all know and lovev our manipulative mind game playing marshall.

Wow, really excellent fic! I'm not a huge fan of the streaming 1st person narration like that, but you made it amazing. That's certainly a take on Hakkai you don't see much in fanfics, and I really like it! It's different than the traditional Hakkai, and still very real and in character. Gojyo was great too, and the flow of the writing is fabulous. I guess this is pretty much it, but I'd love to see a sequel. :)

Heh. I adore this. Your Gojyo was perfect -- in denial, but jealous, and perfectly feral. And your Hakkai was true to canon but had carefully hidden depths. His bloodlust and dark side are hidden very well, but you've managed to convey that wonderfully. There is a word missing from one of your sentences though: He liked what he did to the priest, even if repulsed him too. I think you meant "even if it repulsed him too". Other than that, it was a perfect read.
