This is very good, however, you should have done some serious research beforehand. Derek and Elizabeth are not names known to Middle Earth. The elves would not have died of sickness because elves can only die if they are slain in battle or of a broken heart, the messenger elf wouldn't have been so breathless because he was an elf and elves do not experience breathlessness, Elrond would not have tripped because elves have such grace that even a misplaced pillow would not have tripped them, by the time that Star (also not an elvish name) would look 13 years old, her adoptive family would be dead. Don't start with these elves are mine so they have names like star because really they aren't evles unless they are more familiar with elvish than the common tongue. I like most of this story but you just need to brush up a bit on your facts. Otherwise it is really great!
