it's easy to write an idiotic fanfic that consists of cliches, funny gags, and dramatic deaths and so on. but it's the author who can write of philosophy and of not-love that has come closer to mastering their gift. this fic first was uninteresting to me, because i thought it would be one of those twisted psychological drabbles of a tween who had no clue what they were talking about. but what caught my attention was the simple, but very sophisticated style of writing. your style is no overladen with description, but what imagery there is, is done with subtlety and loveliness. the dialogue was not nii quotations, which i have never realized the impact of. it makes the piece dreamier, less attached, somehow. my only advice would be to put wufei back into his character, only for the beginning. true, he lost his identity, but it's harder to lose personality so abruptly, even for someone undergoing strict soul-searching. otherwise, impressive writing. nicely done.

ok only thing I found wrong was the quotation marks^^. I loved the story and how quatre kept everything he found, It was exciting and happy and I didnt want to stop reading it..but I have a question...what if quatre ate all the peanut butter?

This was really beautiful. You can see the scholar in Wufei showing all throughout this, and Quatre shines. I think is amusing, but it's also rather special. You answered his questions about love in the most graceful way possible, and I admire you. I loved how Quatre collected things from his journey--it seemed significant for someone who grew up wealthy and "had everything" in his childhood. Very nice impact on his character. I loved Wufei, just getting up and going. It's something Wufei would do, and I almost regret he didn't. Also loved the ending. It makes me hope that Heero, Duo and Trowa find happiness too, in the same way Quatre and Wufei did. Despite the fact that Quatre and Wufei left the war, they do seem the wise of the five toward the end, having learned greater things. Stunning. Excellant. I'm so gonna tell people about this fic. ;)

Hey, just read your Psychotic America fic and decided to check out your other writings. This fic seems familiar...was it inspired by one of Sherman Alexie's stories? I can't even remember what the title was, but the peculiar stick-up and the whole "I believing in love" thing rings a bell - except, I seem to recall it took place in a pancake house or something...Anyway, great job you did here. I thought it was kind of funny, and weird, and apparently you're not going to continue it since it is a one-shot and it has been a while since this fic was posted, so you probably don't care much about this review of mine, now, do you? Whatever. Ignore this rambling idiot of a lurker.

I can't believe I'm the first person to review this amazing piece of writing! It may not be GW, exactly, but it is evocative and atmospheric and just beautiful. If I were you I'd do an update to bring it back into circulation.
