I completely disagree with you friend, most readers aren't stupid. Readers have to be intelligent. It's the ones who can see the words and know their meaning, but never read, that are stupid. You really don't have to worry about most readers being stupid, you just might note that not all of them are Christian, or not devoutly Christian (like me ^^;;). Does that take away from the story? Not enough to make it un-enjoyable, but we might not get everything you envisioned out of it. Still, thank you for the spoilers at the end, they did help me to notice some of what your were trying to get across.
