Really, I feel bad since I read "Leaving the Past" back in early June and never commented (whether here or at FF.net, I can't remember) and started this sequel immediately after and loved them both! Although I wish that there had been an update since then, I completely understand how life and writing stories for fun can be. I just hope you yhaven't given up on the story, becasue as I stated earlier, it's awesome. I love the dynamic between Rin and Sesshoumaru (very in-character) and their children are great as well. You blended the two parents very well, and despite Emi's more human appearance, she's definitely more like her father than her obvious hanyou brother. I love how Emi and Kichiro aren't exact duplicates of either Sesshoumaru or look like Inuyasha (with dog ears). Sometimes authors make it that all inu hanyou (or quarter youkai in IY's case, if they don't somehow manage to stay hanyou somehow with him mating a human, (how that happens, I have no clue)) take souly after the parent with youkai blood, or come across with only minor dog-like traits. I always imagined that Inuyasha was incredibly lucky with just having dog ears and not being further deformed, and seeing Kichiro with a far greater likeness to his father's true form is a breath of fresh air, since it is a crossing of "species", per se. At any rate, I really hope that you continue, since you're a great writer and it's such an interesting story! :D

You weave such wonderful details of their home and home life so effortlessly into the story! I can't even begin to imagine the amount of research that went into this. Incredible ... Right down to that cliff-hanger with the familiar/unfamiliar scent! I can't wait to find out! And THANK YOU! You know for what!

Love it so far! But then, I love this pairing and see it as the logical/spiritual outgrowth of Sesshoumaru's time with Rin and her influence upon him. The dream sequence was incredible ... ORIGINAL! Haven't seen THAT, particular dream in any other fic, yet it makes soooo much sense! Where's the rest of the story???? Going on 3 months now .... UPDATE!!!!!
