I never much liked "present" tense stories anyway, but you oscillate between present and past tenses. Not as badly as some people do (some do so within a sentence) but it still was very hard to for me to keep track of the tenses. MM.org's formatting made reading a real headache too (not your fault, obviously) I'm intrigued. Very intrigued.

Your characters were written so authentically I could practically hear them uttering your lines (good thing you'd so considerately included translations, else my mind would've had to supply scrolling subs, LOL)! Kaede in particular was so marvelously articulated--actually, everyone was. The action was terrific, pacing perfect. Loved the inclusion of Inuyasha and Kagome's deepening bond...*niiiiice*, and Miroku, Sango, Kohaku and Kagura were portrayed brilliantly. IMO, you'd certainly achieved your aim of writing an episodic piece that could be inserted within most places of the entire IY run (I too have the fansubbed eps + 3movies).Thanks for the enjoyable ride, and I hope to see more. Perhaps an I/K fulfillment? ;)

I love that this story is written in the present tense - it's different and refreshing. The plot is unique (that's rare in this genre...) I also love the way all the different characters interact - it's not just about Inu/Kag and Miro/San. Souta is so cute! Oh, and I love Myoga in this story! Just one suggestion - I know it's VERY hard to write a narrative in the present tense without reverting to the past tense. There are some times in the story where you switched tenses. It's not that big of a deal, but you might want to double check that.
