i've just finsished reading chapter ten and wanted to respond to your question. i admit that it does bother me sometimes, but not so much the sexual abuse as much as the psychological abuse linked within the sexual abuse. i trust that you will not make her up and forgive him easily, which is one of the reasons i keep reading. also if you've ever read my story caged (no this is not a plug) you'd see that i like the dark portrayal of kagome as well. i love your writing style it's so beautiful, another reason i keep reading. i also love the skipping between past and present, very original. please keep it up :)

I really like this! It's very well written, with good imagery and expressiveness. I truly feel Kagome's emotions. It is a little dark and seems like a rape/abuse fic (but you said it isn't, correct?) but it's so well written I'm in suspense! I have to know what happens. Please update soon, I can't wait to see how it turns out, how they both end up changing before the story ends, and what happened to InuYasha to make him ill after Kagome escaped.

Kagome's "friends who had died," not "friends that had died." ~~~ "What was the point, he was never going to win against Inuyasha," and "Why did you come after me, I was already on my way back?" are both run-on. Separating them would make it easier to understand which part is the question and which is not. ~~~ "Aren't you going to ask me why I'm here," "Are you insane," "Did he tell you that," and "Why should I help you," each need a ? ~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ Saw the Makikoslap coming about two chapters away. I must say, though, that for someone who tried to melt her in demon acid just to tick off his little bother, his given name is hardly the most offensive thing that Kagome has a right to call him. ~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ Hooo... If Kagome does hook up with Inuyasha again, even an Inuyasha freed from the Shikon and somewhat restored to himself, Shippo will have a hell of a time dealing. ~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ It's pretty cool to see Kagome using all the skills -- corrupt and otherwise -- that she learned in her years of self-destruction. It's almost as if fate had been looking out for her after all. ~~~

Great cliffy. I love how you portrayed Fluffy in this chapter. He is always after answers to his questions and doesn't give a damn about others needs or concerns! I like Kagome's reaction. I did not expect her to be able to give him too much info, just enough to make him happy and not bring up too much within herself. I love the ending! So, he finally does recognize her but who does he think she is??? Can't wait to find out! Love the fanart!
