This was very interesting. Personally, I like fics with an idea, and this is one of the most obvious and yet interesting ones. The approach taken can be discussed, for example the 1:144 ratio implies a certain life span after all (maybe defined by standard mortality from external factors). // On the technical side, I do not quite understand what role Gimly plays in the exposition. He may be a part of the setting, but if so, this would be better if elaborated, with missing members of the fellowship explained. // Overall, very good, but it's short indeed.
