I liked it. I thought how you began it was abrupt, but the good kind - the kind that's abrupt for a reason. I could go into what those reasons are, but you already know them.

I like this so far. It started out a little abruptly, but the flow evened out a little later, which was good. You have pretty good grammar. (Congrats! You know what a paragraph is!) I want to see where you go with this, please continue!
