Comment/Review:
The characterization of the narrator is done really well. Her personality comes through in the language. The voice of narration is strong. I liked the progression over time of her opinion of her father. I especially liked the "he might get custody" comment. That was clever. The thing I would like to know more about is the father. I don't think he was in the story enough. I think this could be more powerful if he were further realized as a character, maybe given a physical description or other details. It would be interesting to see the things a little girl remembers about her father's appearance versus how a teenager would view them. For instance, does he seem smaller when she is older? Just some thoughts. Good job overall.
