This story has possibilities, even if you insist on the Davis bashing, but I found it... lacking.
The basic premise is good, but the plot could use some more fleshing out. Or rather a lot of fleshing out. Some areas that you might consider working on, are the character interation, the action, the motovations, the emotions...
Otherwise, I could find little fault. Even though I picked up from your discription that you are not a big fan of Davis, you didn't basterdise him as much as you could.
I look foward to reading the revised story
