This story is quite unique in the sense that it expresses the dark side of Sesshoumaru and Rin pairings. Most stories are about sunshine, and roses, but you actually take a more realistic view on things. Rin and Sesshoumaru don't fall in love out of the blue, and they don't realize their feelings over night, and Rin doesn't always listen to Sesshoumaru. You've made Rin into a real normal human being with very real character flaws. She has fear. She is afraid of dying, and in the end that fear does overpower her desire to please Sesshoumaru, and she does see him for who he truly is. Sesshoumaru's image in her head isn't the perfect hero anymore. I can't deny that I'm a sucker for happy endings, but I have to say I really enjoy your story, even though I knew it would be a painful read from the beginning. You could see the angst a mile away, yet despite that fact, I've kept reading, because I know it would be a good story, and it definitely is! Keep up the good work, can't wait to see what happens next.

This story has depth and darkness, two of my fav things when reading a fan fic. Also the historical elements are complimentary to the plot. This villain is a formidable foe but I fear he is underesitmating Rin and Sesshoumaru. Katsjuro got his just deserts for betraying everyone.Looking forward to more! Great update!

I really like your story....I only read one chapter and while ago...and I haven't seen it back on the web until now....I'm going to mark it as one of my favorites and I hope that you will keep updating when you can......I think it's very creative and a good use of mixing in the anime with your story......KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the most original ideas I've ever seen for a Sess/Rin story. You have a good sense of suspense and you have also given us plenty of things to wonder about. Your other fics have been excellent as well, but I think this could easily turn out to be the best of the lot. Make sure to update soon--I can't wait to see where you're going with this!
