This story is really good. It's very sweet. I think this is a really good premise. Please, when you continue, make sure that there are actual PEOPLE in the ninja village. As in, giv the people Rin interacts with personalities, not let them be NPCs, and don't make all of them mean. Those characters will then make her betrayal of them that more dramatic. Please continue, I like this writing style very much.
