First off, I'd like to say that your story is breath of fresh air. Very articulate and well beta-ed. My only problem was on following the plot. Kudos for giving a bit of history while going foward with the story but it can be a lot of information to digest in one setting. I found myself re-reading on many occasions and that was only the first chapter. This may be off-putting for a reader. Most people won't take the time to reference the first chapter against itself. I wouldn't in normal situation but you weave an interesting image. That's really all I can say. Your grammar is wonderful and your style is great, keep up the great work. You are an asset to fanfiction.
