I remember "Just Like Heaven" from ff.net before they started running all the good writers off. I'm glad you didn't fade into the woodwork! I really like your portrayal of Vegeta so far. He already sounds so weary, and it's only the first chapter. I'm sure you have much more in store for us. It bothered me a bit that Nappa and Raditz had no problem taking advantage of Vegeta. Then again, he did nothing to stop them. Your descriptions are so creative - I could easily imagine the crowded commons room. It would be easy to hear Nappa and Raditz bellowing above the other voices in the room. I could even picture something that might resemble the "pig-whores" if I tried hard enough. *Shivers* Good thing I didn't try very hard. It was bad enough reading about the larger Takata "squealing her approval" without the song from Deliverance coming to mind. You certainly know how to pull a reader into the heart of your fic, and I look forward to more chapters. Great start, kiddo!

This story is amazing you portrayed the camaraderie between Vegeta and his men superbly. Usually i only see this sort of insight into Vegeta's life under Freiza in flashback scenes, but you open up your story with a vivid portrayal of his life which really arrests the attention of the reader. This line is hilarious:Vegeta snorted, "It would take more than alcohol to make those broads look appealing…more like an opiate induced fog…" and Raditz's comment just killed me:"No…but at least my dick will die happy!" lol I was surprised that Vegetasei still exists when Vegetas still serving under Freiza,but i'm glad for it hints at so many different possibilities and outcomes. I'm interested in seing where you take this story for i like dark fics.

I'm so glad to see a new fic from you! I adored "Just like Heaven" and this new story already has me hooked. I just love reading about Veggie's dynamic with his crew, and the Ginyu are so great to hate, yet so few writers every really explore their characters. I'm glad you're doing it though and I'll be following this fic with interest. Happy writing ^_~

Oh what a lovely begining! The narrative was as clear as crystal - coupled with so many nice nuances within the text. I can't wait to see where the story is going.

wow, how exciting to see a new fic from you and how even MORE exciting to have it be one exploring Saiyan history and Vegeta's sexual past--two topics that have been on my own mind lately while I'm obsessing with Always. Really gripping beginning. Can't wait to see more.
