Oh. My. God. I've never read anything having to do with Kaede, and never, never did I expect my first brush with Kaede-centric fiction to be as intense as this piece. I'm stunned. The steady syncopation of your words was almost urgent in its rhythm, a metaphor pulled as taught as the chilling atmosphere you created. Brilliant premise with equally brilliant and haunting writing. I've very happy I stumbled upon this piece. Amazing job; please keep writing.
