I first read this fic on ff.net. I really enjoyed it and I think about it every so often because I feel it was a really great adventure and an interesting way of getting those two together. Very nice job. One thing I was deprived of on the other site was the alternate of chapter 10 for xellos's point of view. Thank you.

Skipping ahead - I didn't want to wait to read the new chapter. *g* Fantastic as always - I love that Zel chose to keep the ability to make choices more than anything. *wibbles* Major cliffhanger though - I'm very much looking forward to the resolution!

My favorite thing about this chapter is the way Xellos is so completely himself. *g* As Zel puts it, anyway: "Because you're a lying, conniving, manipulative bastard, that's why!" Particularly having looked ahead, it's very neat to see the way Xel is acting now...

OK - what is NOT to like about Zelgadis wrapped up in shiny gaudy trinkets? Especially surrounded by perky Shiny Happy People? *giggle* You have this wonderful way of adding such fun and interesting elements while at the same time building a very good plot and that very much shows through on this chapter. Yay! A little bit of action. *g* And so wonderfully classic, too. "Curiosity," Xelloss said cheerfully. "*Your* breakfast is ready as well," he added with a wave of his hand What I love about this so much is the way Xellos uses it throughout the whole rest of the chapter to get out of explaining what's going on. Now that I've read ahead and know more...he's being very sneaky and smooth in avoiding giving too much away...which is so wonderfully Xellos...

Where to even begin with this chapter? There are so many wonderful details, starting with the first scenes and Xellos' storytelling (which made me acutely jealous of Zelgadis). And the way you introduct the plot is *wonderful* Could've come straight out of the series. *cheers*

Really great start - I particularly like the description of the battle, and most expecially this line: "His last glimpse of the villagers saw their eyes widen in shock, reflecting a dull purplish--red glow." *Fantastic* description!

Kawai! I love how this is coming along. It's a little unnerving to think of Xellos as weak, but it makes him a bit more reachable. Zelgadis is characterized so well in this story, and he has a certain depth that makes him...well, human, but there's another word I'm looking for. The dilemma about which form he should keep is frustrating, especially since Zel decided so long ago, and is too opinionated to change. Part of me thinks it would be a relief to both him and Xellos if the shine couldn't cure him. In any case, I can't wait for the next chapter.

Wow. This is so well written, and for something that looks like it'll turn into a Yaoi, it has an awesome plot. It's got a great plot period, actually. I like Xellos' character in this--real, but altered slightly to fit the company as usually happens with real people. I can't wait to see the truth behind too-good-to-be-true-Shimeria. Keepit up! =)
