For Lily Potter it was a routine search on a family with suspected Death Eater connections. But the routine quickly turns dangerous when known Death Eaters are found. Her fellow Aurors begin to try and capture the Death Eaters when Lily stumbles onto something unsuspected. The pregnent wife of a Death Eater.

Narcissa Malfoy was not a Death Eater, true her husband was, but as the Lady of a Manor she wasn't susposed to join in. Nor did she wish for exceptions to be made for her like they had for her sister. So when she visits her friend Jessamine Greengrass she does not suspect trouble. All she suspects was telling her old friend the goodness she and Lucius had recieved. She was pregnent with her first child.

Lily's decision to allow Narcissa to escape is a small thing in the Auror's eyes. She knows there will be no mercy for even a pregnent woman, under Crouch's harsh regime. Narcissa swears she will repay her debt to the woman.

Neither realizes how their faithful decisions effect the strands of fate. Or how it will tie two boys together forever.
