Bulma can't stand the abused life she leads at Capsule Corps in NYC. She runs away into the clutches of a dangerous gang. She is rescued by Vegeta and Yamcha, two members of a local street racing/performing group called The Zens. They take her back to their home, where Bulma becomes the newest member.
Bulma soon learns that running away solved her problems, but also introduced her to new ones. Homelessness, secret paternities, AIDS, killers, cops, court cases, jobs, and drugs all surround her in a whirlwind as she struggles to help The Zens find a way out of poverty.
Ch. 1: Bulma runs away and finds the Zens performing at a concert.
Ch. 2: Bulma is attacked, and rescued by Vegeta and Yamcha.
Ch. 3: The Zens take Bulma to their High School, where she meets their sworn enemies: Frieza, Zarbon, Dodoria, and the princiapal, Miss Ben.
