Mass Effect and Alternate Realities
Just curious if there are any Mass Effect fans out there on this site? Especially with the release of the legendary edition and news of a new title coming next year. Well, I'm working on a metaphysical/psychological story that intertwines 5 different narratives that explore what - if Shepard actually did have these backgrounds and career choices - the Normandy crew and Mass Effect universe around him would look like. I'm eager for people familiar with the game to give their two cents, though it's open for any to comment.
Also, has anyone else written a fanfic with alternate versions of the same character or situation? just curious to see what people are playing around with. Or, has anyone written fanfic characters where they leaned heavily into some background aspect or quality that was established in the game/book/show, but not explored or utilized much? Like a detail that had limitless potential that was overlooked or simply left alone because of not knowing how to implement it?
