i loves this story. kagome as a rape victim and her story of recovering from it and her frinds oppin is tough. but i love when her and inuy. get together the lemon was very well done. over all i loved it. Ill be looking for your stories!!!

I have really enjoyed this fic, I think your portrayal of Kagome as a rape victim is very realistic and within her character. Recovery from rape does not happen quickly or easily, and support is absolutely necessary. Your depiction of Inuyasha is good as well, though at points he is harder to believe- but his character he is harder to write. I think the other characters are very well represented. The only difference however is that I think Kikyou is one of the best characters- in the Manga (the anime leaves something to be desired). Kikyou is entirely human, and has grown up in a less forgiving time, making her distant relationship with Inuyasha more understandable. I do agree that Kikyou never really loved Inuyasha, she may have cared deeply for him, but love is pushing it. In the manga we see Kikyou grow as a character, and become more understanding of her fate- to die. She and Kagome do develop a loose mutual relationship based on respect. In the end she helps both Kagome and Inuyasha grow further as characters. Otherwise love your writing style, haven't really seen any huge mistakes grammatically, and overall excellent. This is definitely one of the best fanfics I have ever read. I greatly admire your tactfulness and consideration in dealing with a difficult subject, and the careful thought and planning you put into this story really shows. That you actually gave Kagome time to heal rather than having her and Inuyasha hook up instantly makes this story more realistic, and more touching. I found myself saying "aww!!" or takling to my computer screen more than once b/c I was so caught up in the story. GREAT job. I can't wait to read the sequel!!

This is an EXCELLENT story. You did a very good job of following the process many rape victims go through to "find " themselves after being violated in that awful way. It is so terrible that so many people still "blame the victim" even after all these years. The ignorance of some idiots still continues to astonish me. I especially hate the fact that so many victims own families and friends even turn on them during all this. Too bad there isn't an Inuyasha for everyone, huh? I will definitely be following the rest of this story for sure, and I look forward to reading more of your writing in the future. I really like your style.

I think it MIGHT have been a little soon, I say might because I also think that Kagome was riding a pretty big emotional high point after the battle with Naraku, kind of that "I can conquor the world" feeling. Just a suggestion, but don't be afraid to show that future relations with Kagome and InuYasha might not be as easy, particularly without that feeling of euphoria from the battle, things like flashbacks to the rape can come from no where, particularly as she gets close to the 1 year mark of the rape. I hate to use the word anniversary for bad things, but, on that day and around as it gets close to it is a HUGE trigger for feelings a person might think they were past.
