Matthew was shocked at the sudden change of emotion in her. One minute she was rather excitable; and now she was crying like a small child. He held her to his chest, gently stroking her back. This was about the Hatter. It had to be. Nothing else could make her cry like this. "What is it my Alice?" he whispered to her.

"I'm so selfish! I'm a horrible person! I'm having a threesome and the Hatter is dead!" she cried into him. "I use to be so innocent...so unused! Now look at me! I'm a slut!"

Technically it was a foursome. "You're not a slut, Alice. You just have urges and fetishes, same as anyone else. You're a normal teenage girl."

"I can't love you and him and screw the whole village!" she screamed. His chest was soaked in her tears.

"Believe me, I would not let you screw anymore people," he assured her. "I believe that three is more than enough."

That didn't console her in the least. But she did calm down a bit. They didn't speak for a long time while she pressed against his chest, her head resting against him as her tears soaked them both. Finally, she pulled back, shifting on the counter top. No, she didn't feel any better about the situation, but it did help to cry it out. It wasn't enough that she spent all night crying and most of the morning crying. How long would this last? Would she always cry?

She needed time to think and decide. She wouldn't be returning to Wonderland for a long time...

Matthew stroked her back, his eyes meeting hers while he trailed kisses over her jaw line. "No matter what you decide, Alice, I will be here for you."

She nodded. "I know..."

Reaching over to the skillet, he quickly plucked out a small piece of meat and held it up to her lips. "Would you like some of my meat?" He smiled, trying his best to brighten her mood since there was very little that he could do for her.

Alice opened her mouth, letting him place it on her tongue. She chewed silently then swallowed. Licking her lips, she brightened a bit. "It's really good."

He smirked. Leaning forward, he flicked his tongue over her lips. "Well, I do try."

Slowly, a smile formed on lips. She moved her lips to his again, nibbling and dipping her tongue in his throat. Even in the worst of times, she could always count of Matthew. He was her Hatter of this world, she always knew that. Wrapping his arms around her waist, he deepened their kiss while pressing himself closer. As long as it made her happy...

Four weeks later Matthew was a full time teacher at the college. Luckily he only worked four days a week, though he often had to get up early to get there. As his alarm went off, he groaned, batting at the alarm clock until it quit yelling at him.

Alice rolled away from him as he reached over to hit the alarm. "Stay home today," she moaned without opening her eyes. Her eyes snapped open before he could reply. Quickly, she sat up and rushed to the bathroom with her hand over her mouth. Swinging the door open, it slammed against the wall with a loud 'bang!' She slid to her knees and instantly started puking in the toilet. She gasped for air in between each gag.

Matthew's eyes darted open as she ran to the bathroom. He yawned as he crawled out of bed, not bothering to put on clothes as he walked into the bathroom. Kneeling beside her, he held her hair out of her face while she threw up. His eyes were narrowed, wondering why she was suddenly sick. Did her food not agree with her last night? "Are you okay?"

After a moment to decide if she was going to throw up again, she sat back and nodded. She felt better now that it was all out. "I'm never eating Brian's cooking again," she groaned as she stood and started washing her mouth out.

He chuckled at that and kissed her cheek. "As long as you feel better now," he said. Reaching over, he turned on the shower so that it could get warm while he was grabbing clothes to wear to work.

She smiled and slipped off her night gown and then stepped in the shower. Normally, she never got up with him and showered with him because he always got up so early. She slept in or crawled in bed with Sammy to snuggle and replace Matthew's body heat if Brian wasn't sleeping over...which most of the time he was. She had no idea why he didn't just move in. He practically lived there.

After Matthew had his clothes laid out on the bed, he started for the shower, surprised to see that she was already in there. With a wolfish grin, he set his glasses on the bathroom sink and slid in behind her, the warm water helping to wake him up from the final recesses of his sleep.

Alice ran her hands over his chest with the soap. She had already bathed herself so she was helping him. She yawned and groaned. "Did Brian sleep over?"

"I don't know," he said, his eyes closed as he let her wash him. "If he did, they were rather quiet last night."

She nodded and passed him the shampoo. They finished the shower and got out. Alice put her night gown right back on after drying and brushing her hair. She kissed Matthew on the cheek then walked down the hall to Sammy's room with another yawn. Just because he was staying up, didn't mean she had to. Slowly, she opened Sammy's door, trying hard not to wake him.

With her gone, Matthew dried off and got dressed. Grabbing his briefcase and coat, he headed downstairs, stopping only to grab the morning newspaper as he left. Today was going to be a long day, but relatively easy for him. He was giving tests. The best part of being a teacher was being able to absorb his student's sorrow when a test was given. It made it worth getting up in the morning.

Alice crawled in Sammy's bed. He always had so many pillows so she had to move them about. Getting under the covers, she wrapped her arms around a body for warmth. She moaned into it then yawned and closed her eyes.

Brian nearly jumped as cold hands wrapped around him. Looking back at Alice, he sighed and snuggled closer to Sammy. He wasn't going to wake her. She looked so sweet and innocent when she slept.

Alice woke hours later. Pillows were piled on her and large blankets were tucked around her as she was pressed tightly to someone's back. She sat up and instantly felt dizzy. Slowly, she moved out of the bed and groaned before rushing to the bathroom again and throwing up.

Brian nudged Sammy before burying his head in the pillow. "Alice is sick," he muttered.

Sammy looked at the clock, it was time for him to get up anyways. Yawning, he grabbed some underwear and got dressed before going to check on her. "What's wrong sweetie?"

Alice held up her hand as she puked again. Slowly she sat up and washed her mouth out. "I think Brian's new chicken recipe doesn't agree with me. I feel better after I throw up. I'm ok," she said.

Sammy stroked her cheek lovingly. "I'm sorry to hear that," he whispered. "Have you been throwing up a lot?"

"Just this morning when Matthew got up and now." She shrugged. "I'm sure when it's out of my stomach I'll be fine," she said and yawned again then stretched.

He nodded and smiled. "Well, hopefully it's just the food and you're not sick. The last thing I need is a stomach virus," he laughed, rubbing her back as he helped her get cleaned up.

After getting cleaned up again, Alice walked out of the bathroom. "I'm going to get dressed. Is Brian coming over today?" Every time Brian came over, she needed time to prepare. She didn't wear skirts around him and she tried hard to avoid him naked. Talk of another foursome hadn't come up, but every time she saw Brian, she thought about it.

"Yes, he's already here. You've been snuggling up to him for the past few hours," Sammy smirked.

Alice stiffened. "Why didn't anyone say anything!?" She looked down at her silk night gown. It was cold in the house with the snow outside so she was very perky. She went back in the bathroom. "Where is your house coat!?"

"Oh, please Alice! It's not like it's nothing he hasn't seen before," Sammy teased. He grabbed his coat from her and wrapped himself in it, purring at its warmth.

Alice tugged at the coat. "That's not the point and you know it!"

"Then what is the point?" he teased.

She blushed. "Don't tease. It's cruel."

"Well maybe I'm just in a cruel mood," he laughed, kissing her forehead as he opened his bathroom door.

Alice clung to him from behind. "I will remember this later you devil," she whispered angrily.

"Oh, so you're a little perky. It's cute. Nothing to be ashamed of."

"Stop it," she groaned. "Just walk with me to my room and keep quiet," she whispered as she kept herself pressed behind him.

"It's nothing I haven't felt pressed against me for the past few hours," Brian said, crawling out of bed. He too was rather 'perky' this morning as he searched for his underwear.

Alice blushed and buried her face in Sammy's back. "That's not the point!" she said again.

"What? I like them." He flashed her a grin. When he couldn't find any underwear he just shrugged. Walking over, he kissed Sammy, hugging Alice in the process.

"Don't!" Alice said and pulled from both of them. Her back went to a wall and the room started spinning. "Oh..." she whispered, "who made the room spin?" She fell forward, her eyes rolling back as she fainted.

"Brian, sweetie, what did you put in that chicken of yours?" Sammy asked as he had Brian lift Alice onto the bed while he got a cool wash cloth for her head.

Alice's eyes fluttered open lightly. She looked around and saw Sammy on the phone and Brian taking her temperature and checking her pulse. At least they were dressed. How long was she out? "I don't feel hot..." she said to Brian. She placed her hand over her mouth. "I'm going to throw up!"

Brian quickly grabbed a waste basket and held it up for her so that she could.

Sammy grimaced while on the phone with Matthew. "I don't know what's wrong. Either she's come down with a bug or she's got food poisoning. Just come home. Okay?"

Matthew sighed against the receiver. "Yeah. I'll be there in about half an hour."

Alice threw up and whimpered. "There can't be anything left in my stomach," she complained. "What did you do to me?" She looked at Brian. "You poisoned the food!" she joked.

Brian smirked and shook his head. "The rest of us are fine. You must be a weakling."Sammy walked over to Alice, and sat down beside her. "Alice...have you...had your period this month?"

Alice took a moment to think about it. She yawned and shook her head. "No, I don't think so, not yet."

Sammy nodded slowly. "Do you know if you're late for it?"

She shrugged. "What's today's date?"

"The seventeenth," he replied softly.

"I'm late by two weeks," she said.

Sammy coughed as he heard this. "Really? Are you certain?"

She nodded. "Yeah, it's pretty regular. Maybe I took some medication or something that messed it up." She didn't see what the big deal was.

Sammy bit his lip. "You remember that night that you...raped Matthew? You weren't safe. You might be pregnant, Alice."

Alice's heart rate hit its limit. "That's...that's not possible...I was fine afterward..." she mumbled. She grabbed her head. "Room...spinning..."

"Yes, well, it takes some time for a baby to develop," he told her. He walked over to her, letting her lay back down while he dabbed her forehead with a compress.

She stared at the ceiling while taking fast breaths. This couldn't be happening. She was only seventeen. She didn't know anything about babies...and she didn't know anything about being a mother. She started to cry as she curled into a ball, pulling covered over her head. What would Matthew say to her? Because of her raping him, she is now carrying his unwanted child.

Matthew hurried home. He wasn't certain what he should be feeling right now. Was Sammy right? Was she pregnant? There had been only once where they hadn't been safe. If she was pregnant, what would she want to do? He didn't want kids. This wasn't suppose to happen!

Pulling into the driveway, he grabbed the test and all but ran to Sammy's room. "How are you feeling?" He asked, shifting the test in his hands as he looked at her.

"Like I suck!" she said under the covers. "I can't do anything without fucking myself over!"

He sat down and rubbed her beneath the covers. "Technically if you had fucked yourself we wouldn't be having this scare," he joked nervously. "Come out and come to the bathroom with me. Okay?"

She pulled herself out of the covers, drowned in tears. God she hated crying so much in one day. Life was sucking so bad. She took the box from him and stood. "I can do it alone," she said and went to the bathroom. She slammed the door and locked it. For a long time, she just stared at the box. Slowly she opened it and started reading the directions.

Matthew didn't want to let her do this by herself. He walked to the bathroom which was silent for sometime. "Please. Let me come in with you."

"Just leave me alone. I'm a big girl. I can read a damn box," she snapped and pulled out one of the digital stick. "I have to pee on this?" she whispered to herself. How stupid was this?!

Matthew took a step back and sighed. If she wanted to do it alone then she could. He sat down on the end of the bad, running his hands through his hair before collapsing backward. What were they going to do if she really was pregnant?

Alice did as the box said then put the cap back on the stick and slid to the ground to wait three minutes like it said. Those three minutes seemed like the longest three minutes of her life. Finally it beeped and she looked out it. One word stared at her and her lip began to quiver. Moving to the door, she slid it under the door for Matthew to see.

Sammy nudged Matthew and pointed to the thing beneath the door. Getting up, Matthew reached down and took it. Reading the words, he let it fall from his hand. She was pregnant.... "Alice, please come out so we can talk about this."

"I think I'm safer in here..." she said as her hands went to her stomach.

"Safer? Do you think I'm going to hurt you?"

"Haven't really figured it out yet. Since I'm the one that got us into this..."

"That is why we should talk about it." Matthew closed his eyes. His entire body ached at the thought of this. His heart beat was fast and he felt like he was going to throw up.

"No, I don't really want to talk about it. I think I'll just stay in here until I decide what I want to do."

Matthew shook his head. "What do you mean? What do you want to do?" Did she even know she had options?

"If I knew what I wanted to do, I wouldn't be sitting on the bathroom floor thinking about starving myself to death," she said.

"Starving? Why would you starve yourself to death?"

"Because I keep throwing up!" she yelled.

"Whether or not you eat has nothing to do with it," he explained. "It's something that is going to happen no matter what."

Alice stood and walked to the door. "Promise you won't yell at me."

"I won't yell," he promised.

Alice unlocked the door and opened it. She looked at the three men that were staring hard at her. She shifted uncomfortably. "I don't know what to do."

Matthew offered her his hand. "Come, let's go back to your room and we'll talk about it."

She slowly took his hand and her stomach growled. She blushed noticing she was still in her night gown. "Ok."

Pulling her to him, Matthew scooped her into his arm, not trusting her to really walk right now. Taking her to their bedroom, he laid her down. Slowly, almost apprehensively, he placed his hand on her stomach. "You have options as to what you want to do," he said slowly.

She looked up at him. Did he think she was made of porcelain now? "What options?" Didn't he want to have a say? He was the father after all.
