~Chapter 6: Blockade~
Blame it on me
Set your guilt free
Nothing can hold you back now...
Katara watched him closely, her hand returned to her side; her question still clinging to the damp air. “… My father, it is my mark of shame.” He said slowly his amber eyes darkening. “You're father did this to you?” She asked incredulously, he answered her with a nod.
“My father never accepted me as his son, only as a failure.” He said averting his eyes, he could no longer keep eye contact with her penetrating gaze. Katara's eyes widened slightly as she clutched a handful of her top in her hand, `How could someone be so cruel? This Fire Lord was worse than she had thought… And Aang had to fight him, no Aang had to defeat him, or all would be lost to a tempest of hungrily licking flames…' She frowned softly as she felt something in between the cloth; grabbing the cord around her neck she pulled forth a vile. `The Oasis water…!' Katara thought to herself , she had just started carrying the item with her where ever she went because she had not had it on when she had said good bye to Jet.
`Jet…' She thought sadly, the new Zuko reminded her of a mixture of Jet and Haru, his hair and wild exterior reminded her of Jet and his gentle nature and bravery of Haru. She removed it from her top gently; grasping the vile in her left hand she placed the other over his right eye, and the center of the burn. “… Zuko, I can heal it…” She said softly watching as he closed his left eye, he had never dreamed the burden of his scar could be lifted, but… Could the other wound that still ailed him ever be healed?

Iroh knew Zuko would probably be annoyed with him for following but he was worried for his nephew. Azula was cruel and vicious after all. And the young Prince was far too trusting of his vindictive younger sister, plus his mind might still be weakened from his resent transformation. He had lost sight of him a little while back, but the many people of the streets of the lower ring offered him information for little more than a few pieces of copper of which he had more than enough.
He was approaching an old gate when he heard a large shuffling of feet behind him, a group of well dressed noble men, which he recognized as the same men who had dragged the young Freedom Fighter boy away. They were heading towards him their leader locking eyes with the old general. “And where would you be going, sir?” The man asked in a deep smooth voice, Iroh smiled at him warmly. “I was giving donations, and the kindly lady up the road a little ways said there's a little boy that lives down here somewhere with his sickly mother… I have come to find them and give them some money for medicine, and you?”
Long Feng smiled back, “Oh just pursuing some guests of the Earth King, Official business. I wouldn't head past the gate if I were you; the mountains can be quite dangerous. Thank you for your contributions to the needy, have a good day.”
Iroh watched as the Dai Le and Long Feng headed through the gate and onto the mountain pass…

Azula was beyond furious, she threw her flames against the Fallen Rubble in her rage. Ty Lee and Mei exchanged worried glances as their Princess vented her rage.
“It would seem my time for repaying you has come all too soon, Princess… You let her get away then I presume?” Azula rounded on the Dai Le like a Lioness protecting her kill. “Long Feng, I told you to let me handle this…” She growled, he shook his head with a chuckle. “I mean you no ill will; I will gladly help you capture that horrid little wretch!”
Azula glared at him from the corner of her eye, “Fine! Get on with it then! We have to move quickly before `His Highness' discovers your absence…” The man nodded, “We will have plenty of time there, and I assure you. Men get ready, you'll guard the entrance, they'll have no where to run…”

Katara watched as his left eye opened slowly, there was a small frown pulling at his pale lips. “….I need to keep my scar, just a little longer…” He said grasping her gently by the wrist and lowering her arm, Katara was slightly insulted by this. “Humph, fine! You'd have had to prove that you're really a good guy first anyway! I still don't trust you…” She grumbled, Zuko pulled her close staring her in the eyes but before he could say anything the two were thrown back as the rubble behind Katara shifted.
“Aww, well isn't that just the cutest thing you've ever seen, Long Feng?” Azula teased with a cackle, the Dai Le's leader smirked coolly at Katara. “You're going to regret that you ever came to Ba Sing Se and ruined my order when we're done with you…” He growled, Zuko stepped in front of Katara eyeing his opponents with detest…
