Chapter 7

Old rivalries renewed

 

Both Deedlit and the dark elf now known as Arshes Nei glared at each other with the three women and one man staring at one than the other. Running through their minds was the same question.

 

`How do these two know each other?'

 

“You two know each other, Deedlit?” Ranma asked the question on everyone's mind.

 

“Yes I do Ranma.” Deedlit answered.

 

Arshes Nei turned to the man's voice that asked the question and froze at the sight of all those wonderful muscles her dark eyes were seeing.

 

“We were students of the same wizard until we went our separate ways.” Deedlit answered.

 

“Let me guess. You two competed against each other and drove your teacher mad with a rivalry.” Ranma stated. Both Deedlit and Arshes Nei laughed nervously and scratched the back of their heads on how Ranma was right.

 

While Deedlit wore loose clothing that hid her curves Arshes Nei wore a skintight swimsuit like outfit that appeared painted on. Ranma could see that Nei's ears were less pointed than Deedlit's and realized that Nei must be half human/ half dark elf.

 

“Why are the two of surprised to see the other?” Ranma asked.

 

“Well I stay in the forest we met at a hideaway that none knows about and the last I heard was that Arshes was the Dragon Overlord's lover.” Deedlit replied. Deedlit snapped her fingers and stared at the Dark Elf. “Just why are you her, Arshes?”

 

“When Dark Schneider rebelled I had my doubts but when he started to do things he wouldn't normally do I was scared. I overheard a conversation and I knew something was wrong so on one dark night I fled with Sean Ari and Kai Harn to look for what they were looking for.” Arshes said.

 

“So that's why you and these two are here but what about you Ryoko?” Deedlit asked.

 

“I was looking for Ranma-sama when I heard the battle. I saw Arshes get injured and decided to help but things were looking pretty grim until you and Ranma-sama joined in.” Ryoko answered.

 

“With you here Arshes it must be pretty important on what the Knights are looking for. What is it?” Ranma asked.

 

“It's both a who and a what. Queen Integra has two cousins. One is Princess Allura and the other is Princess Sheila. Just before Dark Schneider took over Queen Integra sent her cousins into hiding with two of the sacred artifacts besides the White Sword. That's all I know.” Arshes said. “And what about you Deedlit?”

 

Deedlit blushed a little. “I'm helping Ranma here to free the two Goddesses.”

 

“You're what!?”

 

All the women here were astonished at what Deedlit said. They then thought about the prophecy that was their hope. All the women native to Strawberry Field knew of the prophecy and the full moon a few nights ago and this was close to the Southern Range.

 

`Ranma might be the prophesized one.' Sean Ari, Kai Harn, and Arshes Nei thought.

 

“So what are your plans, Ranma?” Kai Harn asked. Ranma turned to the armored figure than stare a little.

 

`What is wrong about him?' Ranma asked himself. When Ranma looked at the guy's throat he had his answer. Smooth throat and no bump from an Adam's apple so that means the guy in the armor is a girl.

 

“Well I was planning on heading straight to the Goddess Tower but after listening to Arshes' story I'm going to see those two princesses to see if they can help.” Ranma answered. Ranma stretched and the all girls watched with wide eyes at his firm chest muscles flexing. They pouted when Ranma grabbed a shirt from his pack and put it on.

 

Ranma lifted his pack and swung it over his shoulders.

 

“We better get going or we're going to be attacked again.” Ranma started to walk away then stopped. “So anyone have any ideas where these princesses are?”

 

“I do so just follow me Ranma.” Arshes said.

 

Ranma and the whole group started to follow the dark elf when Deedlit motioned with her head that she wanted to talk with him.

 

“How do we know if she's on our side or not, Ranma?” Deedlit asked. “How do we know this isn't some sort of trap on her part to please her lover?”

 

“For one thing she was injured pretty badly during the battle with Tirga but they might just be for show.” Ranma said. “We'll keep our guard up at all times but I really think they are on our side, Deedlit.”

 

“Alright Ranma.” Deedlit agreed. “You do know that both Kai and Sean are going to tell Arshes who you are. About your bounty I mean.”

 

“I know.” Ranma agreed. “Let's hurry before we loose track of them Deedlit.”

 

Deedlit and Ranma hurried to catch up to the rest of their party unknowing of the eyes watching them.

 

“This is not good, Xellos.” Mamoru spoke up. “Ranma already has two of the six keys. Why didn't we make the connection when Kuno said he lost his key?”

 

“Well, he didn't mention Saotome by name but by `foul demon sorcerer'”, Mamoru.” Xellos said. “I'll keep following them you report to Lord Schneider.”

 

“Alright., Xellos but be cautious.” Mamoru nodded than vanished to make his report to the Dragon Overlord.

 

`This might be fun.' Xellos thought before vanishing.

 

As Xellos followed the group they were making small conversation until Kai brought up a question.

 

“So what is the million gold piece bounty doing here to free Strawberry Lands?” Kai asked.

 

“What are you talking about Kai?” Arshes asked her friend. “You mean Ranma here is Ranma Saotome. The man with a million gold piece bounty on his head.”

 

“Yes he is Arshes.” Deedlit answered with a slight growl. She saw the look her rival gave Ranma.

 

“But he is supposed to be the worst of all criminals. Because of he the worst criminal in known history he was give a million gold piece bounty so why is he here?” Arshes asked.

 

“The reason the bounty is on my head Arshes is that fact all the nations including my own are cowards. I have a Jusenkyo curse that turns me into Kuno's so called pigtailed girl. After I nearly killed him an official from the government told me if I did that again they would lock me in my cursed form and give me as a peace offering to Kuno.” Ranma spoke up. “After Kuno did some things I left the country knowing if he pressed his claims to the government they would lock me in female form and give me to him. My home nation put a 50000 gold piece bounty on my head for my capture alive.

 

“I left the country and settled in another to restart my life but who should appear but Kuno. Wherever I went to start a new life he came and ruined it. Pretty soon all the governments pooled their money together and started to offer a million gold piece bounty on my head. I then realized the only way to get the bounty off my head was to get rid of the Dragon Overlord and his Knights and that is why I am here.” Ranma said and quickly clamped his mouth shut.

 

The blonde enchantress was about to ask a question when she saw Deedlit catch her eye and shake her head. Sean Ari closed her mouth and the question went unasked. The rest of the journey was continued in a tense silence as all could feel the pain and sadness radiating from Ranma.

 

The group made camp as the dark elf informed that it was only a half-day's more travel to get to where a princess was hidden. Ranma volunteered to take the first watch, Arshes the second and Deedlit the third and final watch. Ranma sighed as he noticed the two elves glaring at each other.

 

`Just my luck.'

 

 

 

In the tower a furious Dragon Overlord was glowing with a fierce red aura at the stupidity of two of his knights.

 

“You are telling me that Ranma has the Sapphire and Ruby orbs already right Mamoru?” Schneider asked.

 

“Yes Lord.”

 

“Get Tirga and Kuno in here now.”

 

Mamoru nodded quickly with his face showing fear because he was afraid of his lord and he didn't blame him at all. Mamoru winced at the pain both Tirga and Kuno were going to feel tonight. Especially considering their injuries had not healed completely.

 

The Dragon Overlord had just learned his Dark Elf, Arshes Nei was still free and Ranma had joined them. Not only that but now the young warrior possessed two of the keys that would free the imprisoned goddesses. Their problem had just grown from a somewhat small one to a big one.

 

Tirga and Kuno were informed and quickly headed to see their master. Mamoru was proven right when he was in his bed with his women. Mamoru and his women winced in sympathy at the Red and Blue Dragon Knight's cries of pain.

Next chapter

Schneider gives orders to his knights to attack Ranma and his group of beautiful women. Ranma finds a princess and realizes why she is so important.

Still working on this story. Hope this is good enough. I was just thinking of a Ranma/Samurai Deeper Kyo crossover. Kyo's spirit finds Ranma when Genma is training Ranma in the Neko-Ken and the killer of a thousand men saves Ranma. Just an idea but if anyone wants to try it be my guest.
