When the boys of the Bladebreakers-team woke up the following morning they weren't surprised to see that Kai had already gotten up. He had always preferred to train on his own. He almost always began before the rest of the team had showed up. The hotel had a private training -room on the bottom floor. They figured that Kai had already gone there. The four boys got dressed and went outside Anyas door. After a moment of hesitation, Max knocked on it. There was no reply from inside.
“Anya, are you in there? We're coming in” Max announced. They opened the door and stepped inside the room. It was empty.
“Where can she have gone?” Ray asked concerned. Kenny suggested that she might have gone down to eat breakfast and that they should search for her there. Tyson who was hungry greeted that comment. (Surprised anyone?) They went down with an elevator and stepped into the big restaurant. After searching it thoroughly, they decided to eat and then head for the training room. Maybe she would show up.

Kai had gotten up early to be able to train on his own before the others woke up. When he snuck outside their room he was surprised (though he didn't show it)to find Anya sitting in an armchair by the TV. She looked up when he closed their bedroom door.
“Good morning” she said. Her intensive green eyes gazed into his. She smiled friendly. He mumbled her a `good morning' and headed to the door.

Ray, Max, Tyson and Kenny left the dining room and headed for the training room. There was still no sight of Anya and they were starting to feel worried. They opened the wooden door and went inside. They froze. Kai and Anya were standing on each side of the bey -dish. They were in the middle of a match and Kai seemed to be coaching her. That was something that didn't happened everyday. It usually involved some sort of crisis when Kai was coaching someone. Then both of their blades spun back into its owner's hand at the same time.
“Good. You are strong, your weakness is that your struggle against your bit beast and it takes too much of your energy. I think you should stop fighting it, but if you absolutely do not consider it an option, you need to work on your strength. Both physical and mentally.” Anya nodded agreeing. Tyson couldn't keep his mouth shut anymore
“How come you're not ever coaching me?” he complained with a high voice. Kai sneered at him
“Because everything that I say to you goes in in one ear and out of the next” he replied. Kenny decided that it was time to break this argument up before it got out of hands. They headed on with their training. There was no reason to doubt that they had done a good decision when they let Anya join the team. Her blading skills were exceptional and she was both a good attack and defensive player. Kai even looked a bit pleased as the training was over.

After training, the Bladebreakers had headed for the restaurant to get some well-earned lunch. Anya seemed stressed and she ate as fast as she possibly could. The others stared at her but she ignored them. When Ray asked her why she was in such a hurry, she answered that she had important things to do. It didn't seem like it was anything fun that she was so eager to do. They could see some sort of tired but cold determination on her features. She finished eating and said that she'd be back before nightfall. She hurried off and left the others wondering. They decided to go sightseeing and after some argument, Kai decided to join them. They spent the rest of the day searching Moscow for interesting things. They even visited the place that Lenin lay for the public to see. They were back at the hotel by sunset and were surprised to find that Anya was not back yet. They sat up and waited until it was almost midnight. Then Tyson suddenly said
“That's it, I'm calling the police and report her missing. Something must have happened, otherwise she'd be back by now” Max, Ray and Kenny threw a gaze at each other.
“Tyson we don't even know if she meant to come back in the first place. Maybe she took off.” Ray said, with a grave look on his face
“How can you even say that?” Tyson yelled “She's gone and you don't even want to look for her?!” Kai had been quiet the whole time but now he seemed to lose his temper on his energetic friend.
“Shut up Tyson. Get a grip, if something has happened there isn't much we can do about it anyway. We don't know where she went or what she intended to do. What we need to do is to wait and see” His words seemed to sink in and Tyson sat down. They waited until the clock announced that it was midnight and were just about to get back to bed when Anya came stumbling in through the door. She was bloody, battered and bruised. She staggered to one of the armchairs and leaned heavily on it. She looked awful. Her clothes were ripped into shreds. She was wounded pretty badly and seemed to have lost much blood. Max and Ray ran to help her sit down on a chair and Kenny ran to the light switch. He turned the light on. The sight before them was devastating. It looked like some huge animal had attacked her. Her left arm was covered with smaller scratches. Her right arm vas covered with one long deep cut. She had scratches on her neck and face, but the worst part was her back. It was almost completely covered with huge deep claw marks. Whatever did this to her must be gigantic.
“Oh my God” Ray whispered “Tyson, get the first aid-kit. Kai, call an ambulance quick” when she heard the word `ambulance' she flew up from her chair. `No not an ambulance' her mind screamed. She spun around and fled towards the window, her attention was to get out of it. But Kai saw it coming and threw himself in her way. He gripped her and tried to drag her away from the window. She fought him furiously and he was amazed by her strength. With an effort he pulled her away and dragged her back to the chair. Suddenly she stopped fighting him and became as limp as a puppet. He put her in the chair. When she raised her gaze up at them it was full of fear and anguish. She looked like an animal in a cage
“Please no ambulance or hospital, please...” she pleaded. They all stood there, hand fallen. Then, Tyson brought the first aid-kit and took out something to clean her wounds with. Without a word, he began to wash off her arms. The others helped. She was obviously weak from the blood loss and she repeated one sentence
“Please, they wouldn't understand, no hospital please...”
After they had cared for her wounds as much as they could, they put her in her bed. She fell asleep immediately. They decided to have a guard by her bed to check on her and if she got worse, they would call the hospital. To everyone's amazement, Kai volunteered to sit with her. He was still covered in her blood. Outside her closed door, they had a whispering conversation.
“What in the world could have attacked her?” Max asked the others. But they all shook their heads. No one could think of anything with claws of that size, except for a bear of course. But they were in the middle of Moscow after all. There were no bears here. They also wondered why she had reacted so strongly when they wanted to take her to the hospital. They decided that if she were strong enough, they would ask her in the morning.

Kai sat by her bed. She didn't sleep calmly at all. She threw herself around and repeatedly mumbled one single word `Ungul'. He wondered what it meant.

Well here's the eight -chap and we're starting to get somewhere with this story. I hope you like it. And I'll give credit to the one who figures out what `Ungul'means. PLEASE review an honest opinion, and I'm sorry about the sometimes-crappy grammar and spelling. //Author
