Darkness have awoken...
~***~
The Bladebreakers match against Generation X was the first of two that would take place here at `The Globe' today. The third match would be held tomorrow. The match tomorrow would begin at 9:am sharp and there was no telling how long it would last. It would be the Revolution Team against F Dynasty. Kenny was pretty exited to see that Brooklyn would play in the third match. He could hardly wait to get the chance to update his data on the exceptional player. After that, they had the rest of the day free and would probably do what fell into them.
The second match today was between the Unholy Alliance and the Blitzkrieg Boys. Talas gang was tipped to win, but Kenny had a feeling that you shouldn't take that win for granted. You should never take a win for granted, even if the other team was totally unknown amongst the best. Just because they had never been in some big tournament it didn't have to mean that they weren't any good. They might have bladed their whole lives, you could never know with a new team. But now they had to focus on their game. The six of them were sitting in their dressing room, discussing some strategies. Tyson were a bit bitter that he wouldn't get the chance to play and he was comfort eating. Max and Ray seemed calm and collected and Kenny wasn't worried about them, but Anya seemed distressed and was twisting her hands in her lap. She looked very worried and jumped at every sudden movement.
“Are you sure that you are going to be okay?” he asked her. She jerked at his question, and he thought he saw a glimpse of fear in her eyes. She nodded as if she were afraid that her voice wouldn't bare her. Max saw her frightened gaze and gripped her hand and smiled in a friendly way.
“Don't worry, you'll be fine. He's strong but you are stronger.” He said comforting. She on the other hand didn't seem comforted at all. She turned her stressful gaze to him and whispered
“That's what I'm afraid of.” A shocked silence entered the room. But then she seemed to pull herself together and straightened up. Determination glowing from her eyes and she rose up. “But I will not lose control. I'm going to stand my ground and I will win this match” They all sighed feeling relieved. For a moment there they thought that she couldn't handle the pressure. Then, Kenny told them it was time to go. The six of them got up and walked out the room in silence.

As they stepped into the arena of `The Globe' the cheers of the huge crowd overwhelmed them. Young and older bladers from all the north -European countries seemed to have found their way here today. The cheering was so loud that you could have a good use for earplugs and the spotlight was focused on the world champion, Tyson. His ego seemed to grow even bigger. (If that was possible) The whole team went over to their bench and everyone except Max sat down on it.
“Come on buddy, we're counting on you.” Tyson told him and gave him the thumb up. Max smiled and returned the gesture and turned around and stepped up to the dish. On the opposite side, Salima did the same.
“Hey, Salima nice to see you guys again. Don't think that I'm going to give this match away just because we're friends.” He called to her. She smiled and told him that neither would she. This was something of a friendship game, since there was no rivalry between the two teams. But everyone knew that they would still do their best to beat the other team. Salima still hadn't got any bit beast and in the end, Draciels power won Max the game. They both shook hands afterwards and there were no angry feelings between the two players.
Rays game against Tracy was something special. She was the only one in the team that had a bit beast, and her Baloo was very powerful. She called for it and a huge dark brown bear rose from her blade. It had an impressing body mass and thick shiny fur. The eyes were big and dark and they looked kind. One thing that didn't look kind on the beast was its fangs and huge paws with the razor-sharp bear claws. Rays Driger was fast, but Baloo was extremely powerful, and it the end, they were equally strong and the match ended in a tie.

It was up to Anya now. If she won, they would have beaten the Generation X -team, but if she lost, there would have to be another match. She was still weakened after the past night and her bite wound, but she trusted in God to give her the strength she needed to restrain evil. With the look of the deepest determination on her face, she got up and walked to the dish.

Kai watched her as she got up. He felt even more torn when he saw how frightened she really was. He took pity in her and he loathed himself for that, but he couldn't help it. The time he spent in her presence was bittersweet. Somehow she forced him to re-live the worst moments of his life. Telling him painful things that he didn't want to listen to. The reason why they hurt so much was because she told him the truth. He feared the truth, in the years that had passed since he left Biovolt, he'd spun a web of lies around him. To protect him from the painful truth, and now she came here and tore down his web. She told him the things he didn't want to hear, the things that he couldn't bear to go through again. And after that she was there, not talking, waiting for him to speak. And he was sure that if he would like to talk to her, she would listen. But he didn't want to talk about it! He just wanted to go on with his life and forget about the past, so why wouldn't she let him? And though the pain and confusion she caused him, he still felt drawn to her. Maybe because she, just like him, were hiding something.

Anya went up to the dish and brought up her launcher. With a swift movement she attached her blade to it and prepared to let it rip. Across the dish, Kane did the same thing. At Jazzman's command, they launched their blades and the match was on. From the fist second, she struggled with the eternal urge to release her Nazgul. It didn't like being trapped inside her blade like a powerless spirit and struggled in a eternal fight to get out. The match was blazing and with fighting two things at the same time, Anya felt her powers drain. She silently prayed for God to give her the strength and carried on. Kane had no bit beast, but he was very skilled and avoided her attacks and retaliated when she was off guard. Clashing into her blade and causing her strength to weaken more and more. And suddenly she couldn't fight against it anymore. With the bittersweet feeling of sensation, she cried out
“Nazgul, Draining Darkness attack!” and the thick darkness emerged from her blade. Thick as jelly, it swallowed everything that came in its path, covering the whole dish with darkness. And from it, a shape emerged. A tall black shape, hidden under a heavy black cloak. There was no face to see under the hood. It seemed to radiate an unimaginable power, to strong to fight against. With a feeling of deep surprise, the rest of the Bladebreakers realized that they had never felt so afraid in their whole lives. It was as if your every worst nightmare came to live under the deadly Nazgul gaze. Its bare presence drained the hearts of men, until all hope and all light had gone out. Anya cried out something in the cursed tongue and the shape began to blur. With the most horrible sound they had ever heard, the Nazgul dissolved into black mist and were drawn back into her black Beyblade. Hen the shape was gone, the darkness soon followed, leaving Kanes motionless blade laying on the bottom of the dish. They had won again.

There sat five girls in the crowd, they all stood out a bit with their odd hair colors and ruby eyes. As Anya stepped up to the dish, their eyes followed he every movement. And when she released the Nazgul, the black -and white haired girl named Jesica turned to her teammates. She nodded confirming, they all stood up and walked out of the arena in silence.
Well out in the corridor, they froze and turned to each other.
“It's her.” Jesica simply said. Trisa threw back a cascade of pink hair from her face and replied
“But if it is, why is she with them and not with us?”
“I don't know but it surely has something to do with Gods plan. I don't think that she is damned. Cursed she is, no doubts about that, but I don't think that she is damned.” Jesica answered and turned to Kelinka. “What do you see?” The white haired girl closed her eyes for a second. When she opened them again, it looked like they were blinded with white fog, swirling inside her eyes. As she answered, her voice had changed. It was deep and wise, and it echoed a bit. It didn't seem to come from the girl at all, more like from everywhere around them.
“I see faith. She shines like a flame in the dark, God is strong on her. She is not damned but redeemed, but she is unaware of it. She believes that she is damned to wander the dark, but she still find faith to carry on. In the faces of her human companions. God see her, and he watch over her in this dark hour. She is the one we have been searching for. The is the one, Anyanka.” A murmur rose among the girls. So it was her after all, their long search was over. But darkness lied ahead.

At the same time, five gray hooded shapes also watched over Anya as she fought Kane. The Godsends were at the arena to watch over the match. As they saw the Nazgul emerge from the girls' blade, they all grinned with a hungry look in their eyes. The tallest of them moved a bit. His name was Galdor and with a demons look in his eyes, he whispered
“They have awoken...”

The Bladebreaker stayed behind after their game to watch the Blitzkrieg Boys take on the Unholy alliance. First up were Tala, we would battle against Mila, the green haired girl with the dead eyes. When she saw who she would be battling, she sneered. Talas temper rose to the skies
“We'll see who's sneering when I've beaten you!” he growled. His eyes flaming with anger. Milas voice was stained with the deepest despise as she replied him.
“You are no match for me, you Russian lab-rat. I can crush you like a maggot... make you squirm.” She took a threatening step towards him, exposing her sharp corner-teeth. Her teammate Jesica stepped up to her and put a warning hand on the girls arm. Mila seemed to calm down and Jesica let go of her and took seat on their bench. Talas look of pure shock was easy to understand. It sounded like the girl knew about the Biovolt Corporation and what went on there. You could count out by the name that Tala was Russian, but together with the word lab-rat, it sounded like she knew. Which of course was impossible. With a nasty look in her eyes, Mila spoke to Tala.
“Is that fear I see? Then maybe you should crawl back into your laboratory, `cause you're not supposed to be scared are you?” she grinned, her teeth gleaming in the spotlight.
That was it, she must know somehow. Talas face hardened, and he stepped up to the dish. If he usually was a bit scary, then this girl was a nightmare. She bladed just as sharp as she spoke and she soon got Tala to his knees. Then he called for Wolburg to aid him. The huge icy beast emerged from his blade and took back the match. It looked like Mila was about to lose when she decided to call for her beast. With a shrieking laughter she called out
“Tutankhamon, Sarcophagus Throw now!” A mummy, surrounded by a aura of darkness emerged from her blade. There was no bandages like the mummies in the movies has, just a half by half rotting body. Its eyes glowed with the red flame of hell and it let out a mighty, terrifying roar. It rose one of its huge claw like hands, and from thin air, a coffin appeared. An old sarcophagus, shaped much like a human with the face of a pharaoh. The coffin seemed to be made out of pure gold. It floated in the air, and when the mummy swung its hand forward, the sarcophagus dashed towards Talas Wolburg. It hit the ice-wolf in a terrible speed, causing a lightning explosion. Everyone were thrown back in their seats by the power wave that it caused. The smoke from the pulverized bey-dish, filled the arena. Causing everyone to cough heavily. As the smoke settled, they all saw Tala laying motionless on the floor a bit away from the dish. His eyes were closed. Before any of the others got a chance to react, Kai jumped out of his seat and ran down into the arena. Kneeling by the side of his friend, he saw that Tala was alive and awake. He helped him up and asked him if he were hurt. Tala limped a bit but seemed to be fine otherwise. He'd been thrown back from the dish by the explosion. Every ones attention was set on Tala, but as they turned to see what it became of Mila, a gasp sounded through the air. The girl was still standing at the exact same spot, as if she hadn't even been touched by the power wave at all. She still had that nasty grin on her face. Her blade was still spinning, the mummy standing there, as horrible as ever. Mila had Talas Wolburg in her hand.
“They failed with you at the lab, little rat. You are afraid of me.” She let out a hysterical laugh, a madman's laugh, and threw him his blade. Then she stepped down from the dish. There was a moment of shocked silence. When Mila got to her teammates, Jesica threw her a furious gaze. She would suffer the circumstances from this tonight.
Jesica left her team on the bench and went up to the dish to play her match against Bryan. He hesitated a bit before going up to the dish to face the girl. Jesica didn't insult him like Mila had done to Tala, in fact, she didn't say a word to him. She just launched her blade at Jazzman's command, and played the same way. She tricked Bryan into making some small mistakes and won the game handily without ever calling for her beast. There was now only one match left and the Unholy Alliance had already won when Lloyd went up to face their player Hera.
The boy went up to the dish and Hera did the same thing. Unlike her two other teammates, Hera seemed to be a nice girl and she got a sad expression in her eyes as they fell upon Lloyd. The sad looking boy with the soulless eyes said nothing, he just prepared to launch his blade. “Like a machine” Tyson suddenly thought and felt a chill down his spine.
But as the battle began, the boy seemed to wake up from the dead. He got a steel luster in his eyes and seemed to find his way through the darkness inside him. He became powerful, very powerful, and Kai suddenly realized why Tala had put him on his team. When the blue haired girl saw how strong he really was, she seemed to back off a bit and Lloyd won the Blitzkrieg Boys last game. When the game was over, the life that seemed to have poured through him just seconds ago, disappeared. He became like a zombie again. It was saddening to see.
The Unholy Alliance quickly departure after their win and disappeared from the stadium. Kai went back to his teammates and they were just heading back to their hotel when they saw that Anya was missing. They looked all over for her, but couldn't find her anywhere. It was as if she'd disappeared into thin air.

She came back to the hotel room later, unwilling to explain were she'd been all afternoon. The other were too happy with their victory to really bother about it and let it slip. Kai however wondered...

Later that night, five girls sat on a hill. The last night of this month's full moon had been yesterday, and the girls could take it calm. Mila however was crouching after the reprimand she'd received earlier. She had talked way too much today and had to be punished for it. Trisa had taken care of that and Mila had several deep claw marks on her arms. Now Trisa was sitting with the white haired Kelinkas head in her lap. The two of them were very close to each other. Kelinka was playing with a curl of Trisas long pink hair.
“Trisa” she asked “Why are there stars in the sky?” Trisa stroke Kelinka gently over her cheek and answered
“So that we have something to reach for Kelinka... Tonight they seem closer than ever before, maybe one day we'll reach them.” Kelinka looked up at the slightly older girl. Trisa was her trusted one. She felt safe as long as she was with her. Trisa took care of her as if she was her little sister.
“Because we have found her?” she asked the pink haired girl. Trisa smiled as she whispered
“Yes, because we found her”
