Here's the second chapter. I got stuck at the beginning because I'm not much of a food person but anyway it doesn't really matter.

When Kai got down to the restaurant Rei was already seated and tucking into a plate of pancakes.walked over to the table and sat down next to Rei.was at the head of the table. Max sat opposite Rei and Tyson was opposite Kai.was drinking a cup of tea. Max was eating some cereal and Tyson was eating anything he could lay his hands on.waiter came over ad Kai ordered a cup of coffee.Kai drank it the rest talked about the quarterfinal match that day.
"Up against the White Tigers again Rei. How do you feel?" Max asked before eating a mouthful of cereal.
"Really good. I haven't seen them for such a long time. I think I've forgotten what they look like," Rei said.spat out a mouthful of coffee almost showering Tyson in it.
"What on earth," Tyson said looking at Kai like he grown another head.grinned and said, "Okay so maybe I may not be able to remember what Lee, Kevin and Gary look like but that doesn't mean that Mariah hasn't changed as well."
"Whatever you say Rei. I don't trust her. She'll always be a pink freak," Kai grumbled.sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Kai I know you don't like them but please just deal with them for a short while. Please?" Rei pleaded.
"I said nothing about not liking Lee, Kevin and Gary. I just don't like that," Kai said but was interrupted.
"Yeah I know that pink freak," Rei sighed, "But that pink freak is like family to me."put down his coffee cup and stood.turning and leaving Kai said, "I'll try."that Kai walked out of the restaurant.Max and Tyson looked from where Kai had disappeared to Rei and then back again.
"That's something you don't see everyday. Kai used up a weeks word quota and a years worth of feelings in a space of five minutes," Tyson said sarcastically.
"He was acting very protectively wasn't he?" Max asked no one in particular.
"He's more protective than you know Max. Especially when it comes to us four, Tala, Bryan and Ian," Rei said to them.
"Yeah right and I'm the Queen of England," Tyson said rolling his eyes.
"Tyson I'm serious. Remember the time you and Max were having trouble with Colin. Ever wonder why he stayed completely away from you after a certain point," Rei said seriously.
"No not really," Tyson said plainly.
"He stayed away cause Kai threatened him. Told Colin to stay away from you two. He said that Colin would find himself dead in a dumpster if he came anywhere near you and Kai's word is final you know that." Rei said standing up and pushing his chair under the table.Max and Tyson looked at Rei like he was insane.
"I'm not kidding. I went with him. I was there," Rei said, "I'll meet you at the stadium."walked off leaving the three boys absolutely stunned.
"Kai did that?" Max asked quietly.
"For us?" Tyson said.
"See he's not as bad as you two think," Kenny said.
"Chief don't go singling us out when you thought the same thing as well," Max scolded.
"Okay so maybe I did but not as bad as the two of you," Kenny replied.and Tyson just rolled their eyes.
"Look we better get to the stadium before the match starts otherwise Kai will have our heads," Max said.
"But I never got to finish my breakfast," Tyson whined.
"You can have an extra large lunch," Kenny said getting up.pouted while he watched Max and Kenny head for the lobby. Tyson got up and ran after them paying the bill as he went.
sat with Kai on the team bench by the dish. Kenny, Max and Tyson were running a few minutes late.waved at the White Tigers on the team bench on the other side of the dish. Lee, Kevin and Gary waved back while Mariah jumped up and down shouting out Rei's name and waving.let out a low growl, which made Rei look at Kai and shake his head with a small smile on his face.
"You're impossible," Rei said giving a small laugh.
"Hey every-one the champs are here," Tyson said yelling and waving.groaned and Rei sighed and sunk down in his seat. They watched as Tyson and Max made complete fools of themselves in front of the crowd, who cheered them on anyway.
"Maybe we can deny knowing them," Kai grumbled.giggled and said, "We could try."and Max sat down next to Rei while Kenny sat down next to Kai.looked at the White Tigers watching Lee talk to Mariah and Gary about tactics but Mariah wasn't listening she was looking at Rei with wistful eyes. those eyes turned to him and narrowed to slits.
looks could kill Kai, you'd have died a thousand deaths with that one look@glare was weak Dranzer^you're impossible@'s exactly what Rei said^he'd be right@wish Mariah had never existed^happens for a reason you know. It's called Fate@well I wished Fate would get rid of Mariah or I will.^you wont. She's like a sister to Rei. She means too much to him.@I know but I mean it from now on Rei is strictly hands off. I she so much as touches him I'm going to rip her to pieces.^finally admitted his feelings about Rei. The world is ending.@stuff it Dranzer.^'m glad you've finally admitted to yourself that you love Rei. When did it happen?@of your business.^the next step is to admit your feelings to Rei himself.@
"Not in this lifetime," Kai said out loud.
"What was that Kai?" Rei asked.
"I was talking to Dranzer," Kai said blushing slightly.
"Well tell Dranzer that you'll talk later we're almost ready to battle," Rei replied smiling.heard Dranzer laughing in his head and decided to ignore the phoenix.
"So who's going against who?" Max asked.
"Rei I want you up against Lee. It'll be a great challenge for you. Max you go up against Mariah and Tyson you go up against Gary," Kai said.
"Why?" Max and Tyson asked in unison.
"I can see what you're doing," Kenny said, "Mariah likes to attack and it'll teach Max to defend and attack back at the right moment and Tyson can learn to maneuver better."
"Well let's get the party started," Tyson yelled punching the air.groaned in annoyance making Rei laugh.
"Don't worry Kai it'll all be over soon and we'll be back at the hotel relaxing," Rei said leaning in close to whisper to him.
"I hope so," Kai grumbled back, "I don't know how much more I can take before killing him."patted Kai's shoulder in support and said, "You know you couldn't do that."
"And it pains me so," Kai replied sighing.laughed out loud.looked across at the White Tigers and came eye to eye with an angry Mariah.rolled his eyes and thought.
'This is going to be a long day'
