Hay peoples. The next chapter is going to be a somewhat interesting one! Hope you like it. Here goes.

CHAPTER 3

Realisation

Kai tightened the tie around his neck and headed out the door behind the rest of the gang.

"Its bad enough I was talked into going to some fancy restaurant and wasting this valuable time when we could be training, but as soon as we get there Tyson is only going to get us embarrassingly kicked out anyway." Kai thought resentfully to himself.

"Cheer up Kai buddy, don't look so bitter. You know you should learn to loosen up a little, it's just lunch at a restaurant. Tyson said, determined to shake the look of nil to no tolerance edging on Kai's face, but with very little success.

"You know Kai, if you just gave it even half a chance you know you might actually enjoy yourself!" Came another unwanted remark from Tyson.

Kai coldly pushed his way in through the doors of the large air-conditioned building, leaving the others behind as they payed for their reservations.

As Kai hastily made his way over to a deserted table in the back of the restaurant he bumped into a small petite waitress wearing a little black dress with a white frilled apron that was tied around her neck and waist as it clung tightly over her torso and flared out onto her puffy skirt. As a reaction to the alacrity collision of the two people, the waitress had dropped the stack of china plates she was holding, with the eerie sound piecing through the building as they shattered on the floor.

Both stunned at the swiftness and suddenness of what just happened, the young woman quickly crouched down as was starting to pick up the pieces of broken china plates.

"Sorry about that sir, I did not see you there.

She tilted her head up towards Kai and gave him a nervous but small smile.

As he looked at her he was immediately captured in awe by her beauty. For what seemed like an eternity was only a second.

She had thick, long black hair that ran down her back and sat just above her buttocks, on her waistline. She had bangs all of different lengths that curved around her cheeks and then down under her chin, making the shape of her face angular and very beautiful. She had sharp red streaks spread out all through her hair, as they made their way from the roots down to the tips of her ends. Her eyes were black with bright red flicks all the way around, and her pupils were not black but a bright green that seemed to swallow you whole when you got lost within her glance.

Kai bent down to help the woman pick up the pieces of broken plate in a desperate attempt to rip his glance away from her hypnotic glares as they seemed to be consuming him wholly.

"Its alright, I should have been watching where I was going." Still leaving a painfully awkward and expressionless look on his otherwise handsome face.

As Kai pulled his thoughts back into reality he noticed that Tyson, over the other side of the restaurant had unsuccessfully held in his immature little giggles and was now rolling pathetically around the floor in a fit of hysterics, while his other team mates had simple smirks playing on their faces.

For a moment Kai didn't understand why him and a waitress bumping into one another and dropping a stack of plates all over the floor, was a reason to be laughing and acting like a bunch of untamed jungle monkeys.

Then hit him, that for the first time since they had known him, he had no control over the situation and more importantly he had shown flickers of emotion, however short they were; the emotion known most commonly as embarrassment.

As he took a second to compose himself and collect his thoughts, he knew he had let his guard down and that it must never be allowed to happen again.

He straightened his body up and once again replaced the expressionless mask back on his face and continued to his desired destination, the little table over in the corner of the room, before he was so awkwardly caught off guard in the unfortunate incident.

Tyson, Ray, Max, Kenny and Hilary all made their way over to the table and sat down in their assigned chairs. No one looked at Kai for fear of bursting out laughing again or the fact that Kai was in no mood what so ever to be silently questioned as to what had just happened.

"So what will you all be having?"

Kai knew the sound of that voice and suddenly snapped his head up to see who it was. Yes the owner of that voice was none other then the waitress whom Kai had knocked into on the way to his table.

She shot him a glance and their eyes locked into each other once again.

A scarlet red blush crept up over her cheeks as she desperately tried to pry her eyes away from his deep seductive mahogany ones.

Every one seemed to see what was happening here, but was confused as to why it was happening. Kai NEVER let anyone get to him whether it be a negative thing, such as Tyson, or a supposedly positive thing, such as a beautiful waitress.

That was it for Tyson; no way was he going to be able to keep this remark all to himself any longer.

"You two get a room will ya! You know you can't resist each other! And anyway who said there would have to be any strings attached? Plenty of people have one night stands now a days!"

Tyson was once again in hysterical fits of uncontrollable laughter.

The waitress blushed 4 or 5 shades of red, until her entire face settled on a beetroot red. Kai's face on the other hand was the exact same red, but not as a result from blushing but as a result of sheer anger and frustration building up in side him.

No longer could he tolerate or just blatantly ignore Tyson.

He stood up with silent frustration that sent chills running down every ones spines, except Tyson's that is, only because he was still laughing madly to notice that Kai's eyes had fixed on his body like he was a hawk and Tyson, a mouse, was his prey.

"Tyson!" Came the ruthless voice belonging to Kai. "May I talk to you outside a minute?"

Tyson's head immediately jolted up at the seriousness of his voice. That wasn't what had worried Tyson though. It was the fact that Kai was actually willing to talk to Tyson.

"Either he wants to start fresh and be friends with me or he is prepared to step outside his personal boundaries and sacrifice his own dignity to actually have a conversation with me" Tyson thought to him self.

Since the first option why highly unlikely, he decided upon the second to be a more accurate guess of what was in store for him, except that having a conversation was also out of the question, it was more likely that Kai was going to be the one doing all the talking or …………. It was too much for Tyson to think about, a miserably life lay ahead of him if he were to be paralysed from the neck down.

"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU THINK YOU WERE DOING YOU MORON?"

Came the chilling sounds of Kai's voice.

"Sorry man, I was just trying to loosen up the situation and switch everyone's mind off what had happened before we all sat down!"

"GOOD ONE TYSON. YOU REALLY THINK THAT SUGGESTING THE TWO OF US HAVE SEX IS GOING TO EASE THE TENTION IN THERE? YOU MUST BE THICKER THEN I THOUGH. AND AS TO EVEN IMPLY THAT EITHER OF US HAS NOT THE DIGNATY AND WOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT IS JUST UN THINKABLE. IF ANYTHING IT MADE THE SITUATION MORE OF A FUCUS POINT THEN BEFORE YOU INFURIATING FUCKSTICK!" Kai shouted in a cold, icy tone.

Every person in the entire restaurant could hear the yelling that was coming from out side.

Never had Kai since his time with the bladebreakers had they seem him loose his cool.

Ray desperately trying to ease the situation said "At least there is a first for everything." With a halfhearted laugh, which failed to do what he had intended it to do.

A few more minutes of yelling had passed and then there was complete silence. Every one started to wonder if Tyson was still alive and if Kai was still sane.

Then as if a silent answer to their silent questions, Tyson walked nervously in with Kai back to his cold composed self, trailing behind.

"I'll have a burger with the lot thankyou!" Kai proclaimed a-mater-of-factly.

Every one almost fell off their chairs at Kai's request, as if nothing at all had happened in the last hour.

"And a pitch of sarsaparilla soda to go with it, waitress!"

The others took it as a sign to do the same.

They all ordered their food and began to chat happily amongst themselves about the tournament and their competition in the way of bladers and teams, as they waited for there food to arrive.

Kai and Tyson shared a quick glance, a moment of clarity and understanding, like a silent agreement. Tyson was not to get in Kai's way or pull another ridiculous stunt like that again and all would be fine.

Tyson took it as Kai had forgotten about the little misunderstanding, so he was more then willing to too, and joined in on the heavy conversations going on amongst the team members.

And hour passed and no one seemed to notice Kai, so he claimed it as an opportunity to slip away, back to his room in the hotel he owned.

As he made his way back out the door he looked over his shoulder to see the waitress standing against the wall near the bar.

He stopped mid stride, and their eyes locked onCe more. She cheekily smiled at him as he turned and resumed walking through the doors and down the footpath.

As Kai walked through the door of his penthouse suite he had started unbuttoning his shirt ready for a shower. He slammed the door behind him and went straight to the bathroom. He turned on the shower taps, stepped inside and shut the glass door. With the hot water turned on full way and the cold water barely so a drop would escape, he let the steam fill the room, eventually so thick he couldn't even seen past his own nose.

"That's better."

Pulling on no more then a pair of slate-blue satin boxers he made his way to the kitchen to poor himself a nice refreshing glass of icy cold water, (seemed appropriate to match his personality) when he heard a nock at the door.

"Hay Kai, long time no see!"

He looked up to see a young woman dressed in a little black dress with a white frilled apron that was tired around her neck and waist as it clung tightly over her torso and flared out onto her puffy skirt. She had long black hair that ran down her back and rested just above her buttocks, on her waistline, with sharp red streaks. And she had the most stunning black eyes, with bright red flickers all the way around and bright green pupils instead of black.

"You could say that, Kalayne" (pronounced Ka-lay-en)

So what do you think peoples. Speak up now or forever hold you peace! In simpler terms R&R. oh and please no flames, a little constructive critism goes a long way ya know. Well I hope I left at least a little bit of a cliff hanger for you, if I didn't then SHMAH didn't work, maybe next time. Anyways like I said before, YOU WANT THE NEXT CHAPPIE THE R&R or I'll torch you bums HEHEHEHEHE (evil laughs again) and tell me what you though about the `untamed jungle monkeys' thing. Well I thought that it was really funny anyways. Seriously I don't know how I think of these bazaar things, they just always seem to know how to pop into my brain.
