Sorry peoples, the last chappie didn't end how I wanted it to because when I went to edit it I couldn't so just bare with me for the moment. Well he goes the next chapter

CHAPTER 2

The Flight

"Keep running grandson, you can run but you can't hide!"

Kai looked behind him through his blurred vision and all he could see was an enormous and nasty looking man full of hatred quickly gaining ground on him.

"It doesn't matter how hard I force you away little Kai, I always draw you back to me. It would seem that I have you right where I want you, caught in the unyielding grips of my hand like a fly worthy of nothing more but to be crushed! I will train you not to feel, to love to express any emotion through that tiny pathetic body of yours. If it's the last thing I do! I WILL make you worthy of serving me, and only me!"

Tyson had grabbed Kai by the shoulders and was feverishly shaking him like he was some sort of stunt dummy used in a `Hollywood horror.'

"What do you think you are doing?" Kai proceeded in a low sadistic voice.

"Sorry man, you were screaming in your sleep, and well…….. we were worried about you, that's all!"

"Don't spit that bullshit Tyson, you should know better than to make up shit." With that Kai got up from his seat in the private jet and stormed off.

"Hay just one minute Kai!" Tyson protested, but was cut off by Ray's arm.

"Just leave him be Tyson, he is obviously upset by what ever it was he was dreaming about"

"Please take your seats, the plane is about to land in Russia. Thankyou."

As Tyson and team made their way off the plane Kai was lost in his endless thoughts about what had happened the previous night.

"Think Kai think, what could mother mean by `stay strong?' Is something going to happen to me, am I in danger, is my grandfather going to come after me?"

Suddenly Kai was hit with the harsh realisation that ALL three things he has just contemplated were indeed more than likely going to transpire.

As Kai entered the quarters of what would be his new home for the next 3 weeks, his mother in the form of an angel appeared once again.

"My son, be prepared for what may come! There will be times of happiness, sadness hardships and times of clarity. Stay true to yourself always, and please my son, for the sake of true happiness and bliss, remove that mask of which you have shielded yourself from the world and let others in. There is a soul who is meant for yours alone and if you hide yourself away from her you shall never know the joy that true love can bring my son. If you take notice, she will be least where you expect. Do not let her slip away. Goodbye my son and take care. Remember I will always be with you."

Kai's knees hit the ground with a tremendous thud and his hands soon followed. He gripped the thick piles of carpet that lay beneath him as his teas stained the cream coloured fabric one by one as they dropped hastily down. He would never admit that the hot burning liquid that streamed down his face was none other then the product of sadness, but nothing more then sweat, as he felt the weight of the world burdening itself on his shoulders.

"Why are you punishing me god?" Came the painful cry from Kai's mouth as is pierced its way through the thick air surrounding him.

Out of nowhere, without so much as one word of command, Dranzers blade flashed a transparent ray of glittering gold light that blanketed the entire room; then out of the tiny chip in the middle of the blade, arose the most magnificent, breathtaking and powerful bitbeast one could ever own, the `Red Phoenix.'

Tails of illuminating red brilliance, a body so large and prevailing, with fiery eyes that were intimidating, but for his master they held compassion, understanding and protectiveness.

"My youngling, please do not scream for it pains me so to see you so distressed. Let me help you, I crave to help you. Please master drop your shield, you are only hurting yourself. I beg of you to let me be the one to comfort you for you will let not one person protect you and heal your wounds!"

Kai forcefully tried to push away the pain but would never openly admit he needed help. So through mind link he ever so reluctantly yielded to his others demands.

Kai could feel the warmth and reassurance echoing soothingly through his entire body as his tensed muscles trembled slowly into a relaxed position.

Dranzer vibrantly radiated in triumph at his youngling's trust and showed it through his support as he rapped is large fiery wings around his lights small and tender body.

"Thankyou my light for allowing me to be there for you, you don't realise how much this means to be able to help the one you most trust and respect. Not only has it made me stronger as a bitbeast for future battles, but now we are an inseparable team. If birds could smile I would be smiling right now!"

Oh and I promise there WILL be a bit of fluff in the upcoming chapters and the chapters will also be a bit longer. There will be plenty of twists and turns for the characters. But if you want me to write about em you had better review. Also there will be heaps more suspense.

Next chapter: Kai and team go to a restaurant (you'll never guess who's idea that was (Tyson's) dah) and Kai runs into the waitress but doesn't realise she use to be a family friend once upon a time (wink, wink) and some strange events start to unfold. There's a lot more to this situation then meets the eye but you will find that out soon enough folks! HEHEHAHAHAHEHEHAHAH (evil laughs)
