Sakura, and the tale of haunted cemetery - Chapter 2

 

“G…ghost… st…story?” Sakura stammered

 

“Yes. Meiling's definitely right.” Eriol agreed as he stood up and started to turn off some of the lights to make it a bit dimmer.

 

“Uh… it's a bit cold… yeah… um… I gonna go get… um… some hot chocolate… yeah, that's right, hot chocolate! Ehehehe…” Sakura said as she stood up from the circle and started to head out the door (obviously to avoid hearing the ghost story)

 

“Should we start without you?” Meiling asked

 

“Uh… yeah… I don't wanna spoil your fun… I'll catch up later…” Sakura said

 

“um… I'll go with you.” Syaoran said

 

`Is he scared too?' was the question running through Tomoyo, Eriol and Meiling's minds.

 

“Okay then…” they all replied.

 

At the kitchen…

 

“Why are you going so slowly? I thought you felt cold that's why you went to get hot chocolate.” Syaoran asked

 

“I actually used that as an excuse so I won't be able to hear the story.” Sakura said

 

“Oh. So how long do you think the story will take?” Syaoran asked again

 

“About 15 minutes” Sakura replied

 

So they waited for 15 minutes downstairs in the kitchen.

 

Meanwhile, in Tomoyo's room…

 

“I'm sure that was just an excuse to not hear the story.” Meiling said

 

“As much as I hate to doubt Sakura, I think your right.” Tomoyo said

 

“Yeah. You know, we shouldn't start the story. When they arrive, we'll start. First, we'll lock the door so that they can't escape. Then *whisper*… okay?” Eriol told them

 

“Great idea!” the two girls replied

 

Sooner or later, Sakura and Syaoran went back up to Tomoyo's room. Just as planned. They locked the door, dimmed the lights more and made Sakura and Syaoran sit in the circle again.

 

“You haven't started the story didn't you?” Sakura asked

 

“Actually… we haven't.” Meiling replied

 

“Um… I…”

 

“There's no excuse now. You'll have to stay and listen”

 

“Noooo!”

 

“Yes!”

 

“Waaaah!” was all Sakura said when the three people she thought were her friends tied her up on the couch in Tomoyo's room, then attached the rope to her bed, then to refrigerator in Tomoyo's room, then to the television, then on a tree branch outside Tomoyo's window. And Syaoran just sat there looking at his helpless little cherry blossom. Well, at least that was until the three tied him up as well, thinking he might attempt to help Sakura and not only that, they covered his mouth as well, so he can't say anything to Sakura as the story is being told. ((They're evil, I know… hehehe))

 

“Okay, let the storytelling begin…” Meiling said

 

Tomoyo giggled as she took out her video camera and put it in Night Mode

 

“Eriol, start.” Meiling said as Eriol took out a flashlight and Tomoyo played a tape with spooky sounds for special effects

 

He put the flashlight under his face ad turned it on and now, the story begins…

 

“On a dark, stormy, Halloween night, like tonight, there were 5 friends, 2 boys and 3 girls. That night, they went to the cemetery to play hide and seek. One of them, a girl with short auburn hair, green emerald eyes, and two pigtails on her head hid inside a tomb. She told herself that she wasn't scared of any ghost and that she can do it. Hours passed and her friends still couldn't find her. And they decided that she might have gone home and left them so they went home. At the stroke of midnight, the girl thought that her friends were so stupid they couldn't find her. She also thought they were still looking for her. Suddenly, someone touched her shoulder. *Sakura screams, Meiling covers Sakura's mouth with her hands, Syaoran looks startled, Tomoyo continues to video tape* When she turned around, she saw a dead man staring at her. The man had a hook replaced for his right hand, one eye, and only half a body. The girl screamed and got out of the tomb. But when she got out, she saw more dead people surrounding her. The next day, her friends passed by the cemetery. They saw her body dead, eyes wide open, and her hair standing. They thought she might have died of shock or fear. Some say that the girl's soul still haunts the descendants of her friends every Halloween night. She kills them of shock or fear, just like the ghosts in the cemetery, on the full moon of Halloween… I call this story… *gets a blanket and covers himself Dracula style and uses his magic to quickly put fangs and fake blood then says…* the tale of the haunted cemetery… *evil laugh*”

 

“Okay, it's my turn to tell one!” Meiling said as Eriol went outside the room to do the next part of their plan.

 

Eriol went to hide in the bathroom and once again used his magic to look like the girl in his story. Then he entered the room quickly

 

“Aaaaaah! Who's that?!” Sakura screamed very scared

 

“Oh no!” Meiling said pretending to be scared and she's good.

 

Eriol (as the dead girl from the story) took out a knife (a fake but magical one) and cut off Meiling's head (it seems like it to Sakura but obviously it's just a magical trick courtesy of Eriol)

 

“Aaaah!” Meiling screamed and then fell on the floor with her head cut off, eyes wide open as well. (Magic trick okay?! It's a magic trick of Eriol!)

 

Then he walked towards Tomoyo, who was also acting.

 

“Please, don't kill me! I still have a lot of my life to live!” Tomoyo pleaded

 

Eriol kept walking toward her until she was stuck between Eriol and a chair. She continued to beg and plead then Eriol took the knife again and stabbed her. She fell on the chair, tossing a scary look at Sakura, who looks like she's going to pass out any minute.

 

Eriol's next target was Syaoran, who knew nothing that it was Eriol, or that Meiling's head never really got cut off, or that Tomoyo wasn't really stabbed. He was scared too, and he struggled to get out of his seat. (He was tied up too, remember?) He managed to get out but Eriol still kept on following him until…

 

“You left me in the cemetery… I thought you loved me… why didn't you come back… I waited for you… you told me you'll protect me… you told me if I'm scared, I should shout out and you'll be by my side… where were you… you weren't there… you told me your heart is only for me… why didn't you come back… you left me there to die… I'll get back what is meant to be mine… your heart…” Eriol said changing his voice to a girl's voice so Syaoran wouldn't notice it's him

 

“Please… don't… I… don't know what you're talking about… don't take my heart… I… am not… no please… don't! Please I beg you! Don't!” Syaoran pleaded as Eriol gets closer and closer to him. Sakura sat there helpless because of all the ropes tied to her.

 

“I will get what is mine…” Eriol said as he ((Sorry, if this sounds kinda gross but…)) reached into Syaoran heart ((Ick, I Know)) but what he really did was just make Syaoran fall asleep so now, Syaoran fell to the floor asleep, but to Sakura it looks as if his heart was really taken away.

 

“SYAORAN!!!!” Sakura cried but whatever she did, nothing could wake him up

 

As Syaoran fell to the floor, Eriol quickly turned his head in Sakura's direction.

 

“Kinomoto Sakura…”

 

“Aaaah! Don't hurt me please!!! Noooo!!!” Sakura said as she tried to free herself from her seat

 

“What do you want from me?” Sakura asked as scared as can be

 

“You” was the reply

 

“What do you mean?”

 

“You”

 

“Nooo! I can't let this happen! Why do you want me?”

 

“Everyone said they care for me… but why is it that on that one night… they never came to my aid… they never came to help… they never took the time to visit my grave… they never took the time to investigate why I died… they never prayed that I rest in peace… and because of that, I will never rest until I get my revenge on all of you!!!!!!”

 

Sakura was very shocked at this statement

 

“I want your body so I can get my revenge on all of their descendants… Sakura… you are my… descendant…”

 

“NOOOO!!!”

 

“I will make you experience what I felt years back… I will get revenge on you and your loved ones!!! *evil laugh*”

 

“Please don't! I'll give you anything! My magic! My cards! Here! Just don't hurt them!”

 

“I don't need that! I want your body Sakura!”

 

As Eriol moved closer, Sakura trembled with fear… then Eriol grabbed her by her shoulders

 

“Sakura…”

 

As soon as Sakura was held by the shoulders, she became more scared thus, making her pass out…

 

Eriol looked behind, and he saw Tomoyo and Meiling grinning. They returned to normal, also Syaoran and now Tomoyo and Meiling were laughing their heads off

 

“Awesome performance Eriol!” Meiling said

 

“Sugoi!” Tomoyo said

 

“The award for best actor in the Tomoeda Film Fest is… Hiiragizawa Eriol for `The Tale of the Haunted Cemetery' in the role of… the dead girl!” Meiling and Tomoyo said

 

“I don't get this… you mean to tell me that was just a trick?!” Syaoran asked

 

“Trick or Treat!!!”

 

“That's not much of a treat. You scared me half to death. And Sakura even passed out.”

 

“Trick for you two, treat for us!”

 

“What should we do? Sakura's still unconscious.” Syaoran asked worriedly

 

“Eriol, go get some water from the kitchen, onegai” Meiling requested

 

“Okay…” Eriol went out of the room, but he forgot he was wearing the costume

 

He reached the kitchen but something surprised him

 

“Aaaaah! What in the world?!” the man in the kitchen said, surprised

 

“Touya-san?! What are you doing in Tomoyo's house?” Eriol asked

 

“What about you?! You're a Monster! You're worse looking than my sister!!! Though, come to think of it… you look a bit like my sister.”

 

“I'm Eriol.”

 

“So, that's your true form?”

 

“No! It's um… my Halloween costume! Yeah, that's right, my Halloween costume!”

 

“Why are you here?”

 

“To check on Sakura”

 

“Huh? Uh… well, Sakura's fine!”

 

“Make sure you're correct because if something happens…”

 

“Yes, I will…”

 

“Okay. Tell, here I won't be able to see her tomorrow. I have work. But dad will be there.”

 

“Okay, I'll tell her.”

 

Touya left and Eriol went back up stairs with the water.

 

“What took you so long?” Meiling asked

 

“Touya was downstairs”

 

“He was?”

 

“Yeah.”

 

“Is he still there?”

 

“No.”

 

“Good. Because if he'll find out about this, he's gonna kill us.”

 

“Yeah.”

 

“I'll do the honor of pouring the water.” Tomoyo said

 

“Hey! What was that for?! Hey you guy's are back! Thank goodness! I though all of you died!”

 

“Died?”

 

“Huh? Oh, I must have been dreaming… never mind. Sorry for all the commotion. So what else do you guys want to do?” Sakura asked

 

“How about truth or dare?” Meiling suggested

 

“That sounds like a great idea!” Sakura agreed

 

“Okay, then. Let's play!” Tomoyo said

 

They got a bottle and started to play. Meiling was the first to spin the bottle and it landed on…

 

 

 

Eriol.

 

 

 

“Okay, Eriol. Truth or dare?” Meiling asked

 

“Dare.” Eriol replied

 

“Okay then…” Meiling was thinking really hard for a dare.
