"Li are you listening to me? Li!"

"Quiet Meiling."

Li was standing outside on the balcony his eyes closed. He sensed a very powerful magick close by. It felt dangerous, cold and filled with anger. He pulled out the laezin (is that sp right?) board and began to concentrate. A dark blue beam burst forth and pointed to the park.

"Li?"

"Let's go Meiling."

"All right!"

Two figures wandered around the park one dressed in green and white the other red and white.

Li was certain this was where the power was coming from, however, he wasn't sure what the source was yet. It didn't feel like any of the other's magick it felt stronger, colder and somehow familiar but not.

He gave a frustrated growl they had been walking around the park for the past hour and still they had not found the source. Meiling was getting annoyed her posture suggesting how agitated she was.

"Li are you sure you felt something? I mean I know it's been rather dull around here but-"

"I'm positive. I felt a very strong magick coming from here and its still here."

"Well I don't see any-Ahhh!"

"Meiling!"

Li whirled around to see Meiling being lifted up off the ground by a large vine.

"Help me! Li!"

He rushed towards her pulling his sword out; he dodged the vines coming for him slicing at them with his sword. When he got close enough to free her a blast of black energy struck the ground before him throwing him back.

Li rolled and jumped landing safely on his feet weapon ready. He dodged a couple more blasts aimed at him before he countered with a few of his own. Tired of wasting his time battling weeds he rushed towards Meiling jumping up in the air and slicing the vines holding her.

She fell down landing less than gracefully on her butt, just as Li pulled out a talisman and flames burst forth devouring all the vines. They seemed to cry out in pain and shrivel back into the shadow of the trees.

"Are you ok Meiling?"

"Yeah I'm fine."

The two were standing back-to-back eyes trained on the trees watching for any sigh of movement.

"Can you sense anything Li?"

He opened his mouth to speak only to shout and jump out of the way as a large black liquid blob came shooting out of the trees. It bounced back around to strike again.

Li pulled out another piece of paper and lighting came down around him jolting the inky blob. It didn't stop it though after a few seconds to recover the blob attacked again heading for Meiling.

Just as it was about to strike blue crystal shards rained down on it and a shield appeared around her.

"Meiling!"

"Kinomoto?"

"Are you all right Meiling?"

Li saw Meiling was safe and that Sakura had saved her and the two guardians with her. He turned back towards the blob and charged slicing away at it with his sword dodging the blasts of dark magick.

They were fighting and dodging the magick and inky black blobs when Li noticed a figure moving among the trees. With out hesitating he raced towards the figure. He began to chase it into the woods not caring that the branches and thorns were damaging his face and clothes.

He had chased it all the way to an open clearing, his eyes darting around the dark forest scanning the trees and bushes looking for the figure.

"Come out! I know you are here!"

Laughter erupted into the night echoing throughout the trees surrounding him. Li just frowned and concentrated on finding the source.

"Give up you can't beat me! You can't even find me."

`Just keep talking baka and we'll see if you laugh with my sword pointed at your neck.'

Li thought as he listened for the origin of the voice.

" I have been waiting for you. I have waited centuries to settle this and now that I have you at your weakest and without your shugoshins you will be an easy kill."

"I doubt that very much."

"Cocky as ever. No matter, its time. Now die!"

Li's eyes snapped opened and her raised his sword above him blocking the attack coming from above. He ducked and leapt to the side just as a huge blast of fire headed for the figure. The shadowy figure jumped out of the way landing a few feet from Li.

"This should be fun."

Li charged the figure intending to slice it but only striking air. He turned in time to see what looked like leaves flying through the air at him. He tried to dodge them all but a few sliced at his clothes.

He went to dodge another set but just as he leapt into the air a huge energy blast struck him down. Groggy he began to stand up and as soon as he moved large black vines wrapped around his wrists and ankles holding him in place.

"Hmm…it was fun but now its time for you to die for the final time."

The figure was now floating in front of Li a huge black ball of magick energy forming in his hands. He could see the evil smile on the figure's shadowed face just as he threw the ball.

It took a few seconds for him to realize that he was still alive and untouched. He opened his eyes to find someone in front of him blocking the blast.

"YOU AGAIN! This will be the last time you interfere!"

The other figure's response was shooting a dark blue-green energy arrow at him. He moved so it only grazed his shoulder but it distracted him so that Li was able to wriggle free from the vines.

He watched as the two figures fought the one never seemed to stray too far from him though.

"Li!"

He glanced behind him to see Sakura and the others heading towards him. He struggled to stand favoring his left foot; using his sword he pulled himself up.

"Sakura." He whispered

Yue and Keroberous charged the shadowy figure only to be thrown back by an energy field. Yue narrowed his gaze in on the two figures, they seemed vaguely familiar to him somehow though he wasn't quiet sure yet.

He glanced down to see the young boy struggling to stand his clothes were torn and tattered his left arm bleeding and cuts all over his face and body. His gaze then shifted to the figure hovering slightly above and beside him.

The first thing he noticed was the wings, they looked like a bats, the second thing was it had a tail, which was swishing behind it. He moved closer to get a better look but the force field was holding him back. Who ever the person was they were very strong if they could block him and Keroberous from entering.

"Another time akuma." The shadowy figure said to the one with wings before he vanished in a swirl of mist.

The winged creature hovered for a couple seconds before turning towards Li. It stayed a couple feet away but still lingered close by unsure of what to do. It started to move towards him but stopped when Sakura cried out to him and started to rush over with Meiling behind her.

Yue watched the creature jerk back like it was scalded and fade away into the shadows like it had never been there.

"Li!"

Meiling was by his side in seconds looking him over.

`If anything happens to him Yelan is going to kill me! Please be ok Li.'

Sakura was standing beside him trying to help him up.

"Are you ok Li?"

"I'm fine just a little tired."

"LI?!"

Both girls yelled as the young boy collapsed, falling to the ground. Keroberous walked over to them and bent down.

"Put him on. I'll take him home."

"Thanks Keroberous." Said Sakura

The two girls lifted Li up after a couple attempts, then Sakura transformed her wand and her and Meiling got on. She glanced back to see Yue was still where he had been gazing at the space where the creature had been.

`Hmmm..Interesting. I have sensed this power before but I am unsure where.'

"Yue?"

He turned to see his mistress looking at him her emerald eyes showing her concern. He took one more glance before he went over to join them.

A/N: Yeah another chapter done! I was like ooo I have an idea so I wrote it. And yes I know I still have two others out there I need to finish. Promise I'll finish all of them on my scouts honor!
